It Does work in POK (healers are always handy)
and does NOT work in other POP zones, LDONs, Kunark, Velious, or Gates zones. (I have not tested in "old planes" zones yet - someone pls update if they have)
I've seen them go for 300k pp and I would Not sell mine for 999k.

OK! It's a stone that you can only use in Kunark, Velious, and Antonica. It decreases hp by 60, increases mana by 20 each time you click it. Yes it's cool but no longer dropped.

Only works in old-world pre-kunark zones. Any old-world revamped zone before mistmoore/paw the manastone was DISABLED (like the hole and CT). No Kunark, no velious. Until mistmoore and splitpaw there were no places to use this beyond lv 54 or so. Best your could do was zone to a "legal" zone, stone up, and zone back. Best used for powerleveling and LDoN wipe recovery.
Recently PoK was changed to allow it too (since no mobs there). Manastone can help out in tradeskills for chanters if you need to use mana vial or cultural brick spells, etc.

No one here seems to mention it... but the rumour on my server goes that the manastone can actually be used in LDoN's since these are still in the old world zones....

Nope, cant be used IN ldons but you can zone out and stone and zone back in. If your still near the zone out when low on mana this tactic help. Once you've made your way pretty deep in its of less use.

This was dropped by the Evil Eye in Lower Guk. It was nixed sometime around the Kunark expansion's release.

Prices are going to vary all over the board on this item from server to server. Some servers have a lot of these, because they are the "original" servers. Some servers have zero, because it had been removed before they were online. Everything in between. Add to that the prices/values that fluctuate from server to server ANYWAYS, and there is no definitve price for this item.

Duh! What makes this item great is it's use with a cleric. Necro's make horrible clerics.
Once a cleric reaches level 39 and can complete heal himself after turning his hp into mana, then your mana worries are over with this item.

this only works on OLD world btw ppl... nice? YES ... but doesn't work on pop or any of the later expansions ... the mana robe works everywhere ... but a crappy 3 cast.

This item's effect is far inferior to the higher level versions of the Shaman spell cannibalize. I don't see why you would need it.
Personally, I think begging Sony to put items back into the game is a waste of effort.

Well I dont know there guy but not being a shaman and not having canni. . .hmmm I would say that this is a viable source of mana for those of us who actually play non shaman. Just checking to see if I am on the one who is way off base here.

you folks can complain all you want. i have a 51 cleric and a 56 wizzie. i plant the cleric in GFay at the spires, and my wizzie goes and camps whatever he feels like (i quad). after a quad of high-hp foes, i'm at around 0% mana, so i click fay gate, then start whacking the manastone. CHing myself 4-5 times i get all my mana back in about 1 minute, and am back at my camp where i bind ready to keel more foes. greatest thing i've ever had, just wish it worked in all zones.

Delicious as this item is, one downside has always been that it only works in the 'old world' - ie not in the planes, Kunark, Velious, Luclin. So for xping to 60 and beyond, it's really been the preserve of druids and wizards, who can bind in the expansion zone where they want to fight, port back to the old world to stone, and gate back to hunt again.
BUT there now exist player-made items called Faithstones (for clerics) and Spiritstones (for shaman) which have right-click 30 second cast self gates to home temple. A cleric or shaman with a portstone and a manastone can now:
Bind in an expansion zone near where they want to hunt
Hunt till oom
Portstone back to their temple (old world!)
Stone up to fm
Gate back to their bind point, and continue the hunt.
Both shaman and clerics can now get massive value from a manastone - I don't know enough about shaman spells/gear to comment on how good this is, but for a cleric with Donal's Arms (right click max 200hp heal) or other manafree healing item, or even just good old Complete Heal, this is FANTASTIC.
If you are a cleric and you wanna solo a bit, there are a fair few undead in Luclin who would hate to make your acquaintance, and with a manastone and a portstone, there's nothing to stop you!

I dont think shamen would bother too much with the porting back and forth to use a manastone when they can just cannabalize for a more efficient hp to mana conversion.

Bralth is right. I was thinking the same when I was reading about the item. Doesn't seem like something a shaman would bother with.

He never did get a Stone. Rarely if ever do you see one in the Bazaar.

Required lvl 51 to cast the teleport spell on them was glad when my cleric hit 51

Port stones dont require level 51 to use. You must be 51 to equip it, but you can use it from your inventory.

Well for a very select person the Manastone is priceless and to some worthless... Clerics which i am it is priceless... Im lvl 60 bind in Scarlet Desert... Use Faithstone to gate back to Riverdale...Manastone to FM and Gate back to Scarlet Desert and go solo in the grey... Easy to get 2 solo blue kills every 4 to 5 minutes... Which is about a blue of AA EXP every 10 minutes. Much like the Fungi the price of this idem has skyrocketed. Saw one sold for 120kpp the other day on Xev. I have gotten a Ton of EXP and AA exp with this wonderful stone. If anyone is interested in buying on Xev im selling for 150kpp... Honestly i don't expect anyone to pay this, But it is what it worth to me. That, and im in no hurry to get rid of it hehe.
