This is *NOT* an All Classes aug. It's limited to DRU, MNK, NEC, WIZ, MAG, ENC, BST.

The really *odd* thing though is 180 crystals for an AC5 AUG ?!?!

I'm thinking something is a tad wrong with this... like perhaps this was *supposed* to be a pet enhancement aug (mind you, what pets do monks get?). Currently necs, magis, and bsts have to still slug through NRo LDoNs for the 760 pt. pet aug with effect: Summoners Boon (pet pwr 15). If yer L70 just pay 340 crystals and get the range slot item that has effect: Minion of Darkness (pet pwr 20).

Obviously I may well be wrong... but why the class restrictions, high cost, and low stat?

Pet classes await....

Seems ridiculous to me... there's no way im wasting 180 crystals on a 5 ac aug! My AC is allready patheticly low... 5 more ac wont make much of a difference =P

I don't see why people think that 180 crystals is a lot. Looking at the DoN merchant list 180 is very low end.

The gear available with crystals is not meant to be awesome, just nice if you don't have better. It's part of an effort to make semi-decent stuff available to casual players while limiting the twinkability of the gear. 5AC for silk/leather classes and 10AC for plate/chain classes.

If you have an open slot type 7 or 8 and aren't saving for any other DoN bought gear I'd buy it. I'd even trade out an LDoN dropped +6 save aug for more AC. +20 AGI aug won't get you as much AC as a direct +5AC aug will.

If you don't want to "waste" 180 crystals for the only DoN aug that provides direct AC by all means don't. Personally I'd rather not "waste" 680 cyrstals for the augs limited to slot type 9 and that require level 70.

DoN offers two augs with AC at both camps. This is an extension of the AC augs available from LDoN.

LDoN has a different AC aug for each armor type, and 2 tiers of each at 150 points and 510 points. Silk classes get a 150 point 2AC aug and a 510 point 4AC aug. Leather classes get a 3AC and a 5AC aug. Chain classes get 4AC and 8AC augs. Plate gets 5AC and 10AC.

All of the LDoN augs are "Fits in all slot types" while the DoN ones are all type 7, 8. DoN AC augs can only be used in HEAD, ARMS, HANDS, FEET and the LDoN AC augs are only FACE, NECK, SHOULDER, BACK, WAIST.

They got a tad lazy or were limited with DoN merchant content and lumped the armor classes together into silk/leather for this aug and there is an equivelant 10AC aug for plate/chain classes.
