My SK alt (and until recently my Monk main) uses a Stone of Defiance charm, which gives quite nice stats if he's hungry enough. But if he gets too hungry, he loses his innate mana regen (even meditating). (The monk lost endurance regen.) Though the new out-of-combat regen rules make this less of a problem, it's still a nuisance, so I prefer to eat a piece of food occasionally when I notice I've gotten too hungry.

Bugging other party members for a piece of food often works, but isn't always convenient. So I learned Baking and starting carrying a Spit, along with some non-edible items that I could turn into food when I wanted something to eat. (Filleted Lion is my current meal. At least it's more appetising than Edible Goo.) But last night someone told me about this crystal, so now I'm going to try using it to summon food as needed. That effectively gives me 5 more inventory slots. (Instead of a six-slot spit with two slots filled, I can get a 10-slot bag and use one slot for the crystal.)

This and the water one i know can be purchused in Qeynos out by bank where the int casters go ( not guild but merchants) i bought these once. i found them to be a complete waste of time. it didnt summon that much food or water and i really dont see the point. also i see above that average price is 105pp-ish.....God help the poor boob that paid that...they sell in stores for only a few pp and they aint that rare P

i just went and looked...its showing the average price is 105 pp but when you got check it shows only one sale for 1pp...must be bugged?

I have a Harvest crystal.
No special class or race needed..
But how on earth can I use it? HOW do I summon food?
I've tryed everything but I can't get any food from that crystal..

I'm a lvl9 paladin, but as far as I can read that shouldn't be a problem...

HELP please

You can buy the spring and harvest crystals from the potion shop near the Ashen Order in West Freeport. They are not that expensive. You summon food or water from them by right clicking on it.

In my wanderings over Norrath I have mostly ran across them at herb/shaman vendors. Turlog's (sp?) in Freeport near monk guild sells them as well as a vendor near the Shaman guild in Halas. Hope this helps! Safe Journey to All!

Where do you buy this item? It says vendors but it would be nice to know WHICH vendors. It's really annoying to hafta right click on each and every vendor in Kelathin to see who will sell it.

I believe that the merchant next to the tree at the bank in Kelethin sells these, among other things. (I could be wrong but I'm certain I've seen them there).

Well, someone has to click on all the vendors to find ths stuff.

I have no idea which vendor in Kelethin sells this, although I know a number of vendors around the world that do. Generally, I would expect this to be sold in the same shops that sell other magic items, like the gate potions, potions of invisibility, the chipped bone (locate corpse) rods, the cancel magic stones, etc. There is generally a vendor (sometimes several) in each of the major cities that sells this. While I know where several vendors are that sell this, describing how to get to them without going into the game is not easy, and I don't have a lot of time right now to try to remember where they are located. The one I've most recently used, though, is Frundle F-something in Thurgadin, I've bought invis potions there, and she's also the quest NPC that gives the container for making the Thurgadin gate potion for one of the Coldain quests.
