As a cleric, I used to ALWAYS carry around one of these babies for duels. A word of warning, though, about 50 percent of the time, your victim will die with xp loss because of the DoT.
Well, at least I can rez them back. >:)

450+ damage... hum. The + is the key here. 1k damage? Nah. More. 1600 actually. This little baby is one of those MUST haves on PvP servers... hum. Quite fun to smack this on someone trying to run from you or someone attacking you. Especially if you are, like me, a warrior. And best thing is, you cant dispell it. Ouch.

You can cure it.
If it's a disease or poison based DOT, you can cure it with the appropriate spell.

Lovely name for a DoT here. <grins evilly> Little scarabs burrowing into your skin and eating you away from the insides... <shudders> At least it's LORE. Be a mean trick for a melee type to pull in a duel.
