Yes, it is lore, BUT there is an item from the evil merchant that is called Deep Sky Stone. So technically you can have 2 deepsky stones. One from each camp.

Pardon my apparent ignorance, but does this give you the health it steals?

My friend, don't forget improved healing items and AAs that will effect heals as well :) Plus, add to that any improved damage items.

Healing adept type aa's or improved healing items don't affect lifetap procs. Healing gift type aa's do through critical heals though. Spell casting fury line of aa's also affects it. IE: You critically proc your deepsky stone on mob for 250hp damage, on the same proc you critically heal your self for 500hp.

Apologies but I beg to differ. Healing adept aa's most certainly do increase the amount healed. Of the four procs available from my ulaks, all four are of this nature. But to be specific to the article in question, with my current healing adept aa's, speaking of a normal non-crit proc, I damage my target 125 and heal myself 145. However, having recently accuired an improved healing item in my outfit, I can say I would not argue that improved healing items do not affect the final heal.

I had the same question and noticed when I clicked on the hyperlink to Life Sap II the description said lifetap. Going to buy it - hope the description is correct.
Aug slot 9

As noted in the Augmentation Type ... the slot 9 is not correct as it does not fit and is not listed on the item in game
