It's not lore. The scales are though, doesn't matter unless your a twink, cause your not going to have the cash for the saphires at the same time anyway.


A 17-18th level sk, sneaking about, could loot a corpse on the shore (I did it at 22)

the bracer of scavaging that drops off the iskar lord in warslik woods have better stats then this weapon. plus you can farm for it solo way before you could even think about getting the scales off the bloodgill. only drawback is that the bracer is lore, thus leaving you to find another. but hey if your set on doing the quest.. you could always be lazy and use the dreadscale as your other bracer >:P
