i need to know how to get faction up to talk to alkrik farsight to get this part of the epic done he responds by saying im not ready for this part of quest, im a lvl 52 druid good faction just cant seem to get the ruined bowl part done

Of all the places to flame a class, why would someone choose to do it in the thread of a description of a specific high-level weapon? MAYBE if they ever played a Druid their comments would be worthy, but in any event they'll likely not be coming back to this thread because they seem more like a flame-and-run type :)

All I'm going to say to those of you that flame druids...
First off you get jealous because we CAN solo. It's just part of our class don't knock us for it....second not all of us solo to 60. Try having a good druid that knows what they are doing in a hard core group. A druid can keep a group alive without having to evac if they know what they are doing.

Single Kiting is easy yes, but it is also very slow as it is very mana inneffective, quad kiting on the other hand is not easy. Most druids that make it over 55 such as myself have to quad kite at one point or another in order to level, or be good at pulling, so before you call all druids idiots think about it a little, that is if you are capable of any hard thought.
I have seen idiot druids, and most of the time I see alot of their corpses too because they arent good, good druids that posses some skill of their class will hardly ever die or have to run from a fight, I personall have been trained by 3 mobs at 40% mana and killed them all, and if you say that requires no skill then you are an idiot

And the scary thing is if i do a /who all count on any given night the druids almost always outnumber the other classes 2/1 except for warriors. You don't need a friggin epic weapon you tards go kite something.
You have obviously never played a caster you idiot, this thing has +20 wisdom which at the level you can get that means literally 100's of mana. Personally I like shamen better than druids, but thats a personal preference, not some holy writ I feel I need to share with the world. If you don't like a class don't play it, but why come on here wasting everyones time (yours the most) saying how much druids suck, thats just pathetic.

Its a 1650 dot with snare. Not sure how many ticks it lasts. Part of me wants it to last a long time for the snare, and part of me wants it to be short duration for the damage. Ill play with it when i get it :p.

I just was trying to do the athele part of the quest in a EK and a an NPC killed thew corruptor .. his name was Ganelorn Oast.. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Basically you bring a group and have them wait at the corrupters spawn area approximately. You bind there, you do the thingie and gate back.
You really need a couple few tanks, maybe a cleric or another druid and an enchanter to do it right.
You have the chanter mez the reavers and kill the corrupter. After corrupter is dead you could basically succor the group out if you feel like it, or kill the reavers too. If you dont kill the reavers they kill the druids and Athele takes like an hour to respawn whereupon you can still give her the thing from the corrupter.
I did this with a pretty high level group and though the corrupter was easy those reavers pack a punch and have a whole mess of hit points.
Ganelorn oast is the ranger guy who is usually way down by the barb village, you should be not letting the corrupter get anywhere near that far.
First time I tried the corrupter I tried it solo at 54, ran me oom then i guess there is a time limit because I think the reavers killed the druids. At that point i had the corrupter to half health and was kiting and he suddenly says something to the zone and despawns. So I'd reccomend bringing at least one group with the power to kill him fast for sure.

Heh, I've been having to do this two times since first time I screwed up on the note hand in to Ella Foodcrafter and didn't get the bowl heh, anyway, second time I had a mage a warrior and a cleric help me, I handed in the pieces, gated back, group attacked corruptor, I started kiting the two reavers hp buffed for HT's, when group is finished with corruptor, they take care of reavers, like taking one then rooting other, or set mage pet on one and killing other, or whatever, this really isn't very hard with 4ppl if you do it the right way :)

I was able to begin this quest and get the majority of the easy stuff out of the way (the parts NOT involving multiple groups of 50+ PC's to obtain) at level 42. Currently I'm 44, and I only need the cleansed spirits of Faydwer and Kunark, the Jade Reaver from CoM, and Sathir's gem. (-=

right click, has about a 10 second casting time so not the best way to pull. It does overwrite darkness and all other snares so you can always pull with ES gaunts or just the level 1 snare and then root and use this on the mob when you're ready

the effect is a 1600pt DoT with snare. i think the duration might be 5 mins but i don't know. also have heard the snare is 40% but again i don't know if this is correct or not

I completed this quest at level 47. Probably could have gotten it earlier had I realized my problem was faction, not level. At any rate, if you look at the Heros section at EQDruids (http://www.eqdruids.com/misc/hall_of_fame.htm) and you will see at least 2 level 46 druids with epics listed. Happy Hunting and Good Luck to all that are working on their Epics. Ohh, and just FYI, this is EASILY doable by a group and a half. We did with average levels of 58.

The level 55 minimum is for Plane of Growth quests, NOT the Epic quests.
I've seen MANY level 50 to 53 with their Epics alreayd, I'm 47 and have already started working on it. Try again next time.

I have heard you have to be lvl 50 to obtain the item. In order to start the quest, your faction just needs to be high enough to receive the quest from the guy in BW.

I started the quest in the mid 40's and completed it 2 days ago (YES!) at level 56, the effect does not work until level 51 though and seems to be about twice as hard to resist as our standard snares which is quite nice. I was able to snare illis frogs in OS more often and with less resists than ensnare or snare. So good luck, the item even for just the stas ROCKS!

What makes you say that? I'm 48 and with my guild I can do the quest. As long as the NPC's respond you can do the quest and the lvl limit certainly isn't 55.

I completed my quest at 54. I'm pretty sure there's no level limit on completing the quest and won't believe that there is till I see someone turn in the items and get a thank you in return.

There is no level limit, i honestly saw a 9 paladin with his epic on Vazealle(maybe i should consider moving servers=P) never saw it proc but he was deifienetly using it, i even looked at his equipment while i had him stopped acting like i was a newbie=)

what lvl is required to start even parts of the epic im lvl 29 would it be unadvisable for me to even think about starting some of it that i can do now?

Well for starters yes u can start the quest now i started it at 24 foraged one of the items and did every thing up to get the darkelf reaver to spawn but heard that takes like 2-3 groups of high lvl to get that part done and have seen the corrupted mob in everfrost get nailed by a tank lvl 29 while a 45 druid meditated and keep him snared (i think he was plvl'n him and wanted to get good loot out of the ordeal and there is a sight that has the breakdown even further than that if eqmaps with the lvls and locs of the mobs but ill let u find that good luck oh and try to be the youngest druid with the epic to show all these "if it was so easy to get why doesnt everyone have one" types up

About the only thing for the epic you can do before lvl 45 or so is the foraging. It's gonna save you hours if you're hunting in a spot and you pick up one of the NoDrops and DON'T destroy it. But until higher lvls you can't interact with the Quest NPC's or kill the mobs so you can concentrate on lvling to get to Epic Lvl and then do the quest.
That is not quite true. Unless they changed the quest in a patch, I know for a fact that a person of level 30 can interact with the quest NPC's. I was able to start the quest with Telin, got the ring, the coin from Gix (and survived by running), got the coin back from Telin, foraged all four items and with a little help had two of the corrupted items. All this I was able to do before getting out of 30th level. I believe that, due to the level of the monsters involved, the quest was meant to be a career long quest, starting in the low to mid 30's, all the way into the 50's. Don't get discouraged, just understand that although you may start anytime, you most likely won't finish til your mid 50's. I'd suggest checking the web for the levels of the monsters involved, and fighting them when you are at the appropriate level with a good group. You might as well get experience from these kills.

Couldn't be a career long quest. Because the first person to do the quest would have to learn as he/she went along. The Corruptor in ek is level 50 and pretty hard. no 30 is going to kill it. And he is pretty early in the quest.
But since the whole quest is spoiled online :(, you know what to do in advance. The foraging can be done early, you can probably do the antonica corrupteds, they are easy, the mini quests for the speckled powder and the other thing that goes with it are easy too. Well, the jade reaver isn't easy :P

Ok, Now I know I'm only level 21 druid but I dont think any one can say what level you have to be to really complete the quest. My guess would be that you would at least need to be between level 30 to 40 just to start as for ever thing else no problem. If your not word about exp just get in a really strong guild make friends and get them to help you take out strong mobs. I was level 7 when i got library book. I took a friend to highhold pass had him fight the npc to get the scroll that i need. I stayed grouped with him so that way when he killed the guy i could loot it. It is possible to I think to complete the epic quest before level 50 you just need a real good guild who is willing to help you. Now dont get me wrong im not saying youll complete it in a day or two it may take you a few months but if take your guild along to the area with high mobs and let them do the killing and you help out as best as you can you should be able to complete it. Me I want to do the epic on my own its more gloryes if i can walk away saying i complete the quest with little or no help at all. Any way thats my take just remeber nothing is impossible if you just think about what your doing before you do it.

Having done a couple parts of this quest actually I would say that if you get this thing at level 50 you are incredibly lucky. You have somewhat of a point, since you don't have to go to a plabe to get items you could feasibly get the scim sooner if you were in THE uber guild of the server and everyone loved you so much they didn't mind doing the entire quest for you and just let you pick things up and turn things in. If you are seriously gonna try doing this with no help just have a cleric friend on speed dial is all I can say. Faydwer mobs you will never solo unless maybe you are over like 55. Venril Sathir is a raid mob, you wouldn't even live long enough solo to ever get to VS's room. Faydedar, or whatever his name is, is also a raid mob. I thought Fay was maybe like a 3 groups mob and I went to help kill him once for a friend. Imagine my surprise when my friend's entire guild showed up (and they are an uber guild on my server). Only 4 people died which is good considering there was like 30 people there. The Uulump frog in Swamp of No Hope blindsided me once while I was poking around in Swamp and at level 54 he beat me to death in maybe 10 seconds. Now that I am 55 I might go back with 2 groups for him but either way you aren't soloing him. The gorilla and baracuda in kunark are doable though...if you are in the 50's.
And I know what every young druid thinks, "Bah, I can kite everything easily...". I was 52 when I tried to kite the seafury because he was blue and I figured it's worth a shot, worst case I will outrun him and gate...
I figured he was in the mid to high 40's...imagine my surprise when he summoned me right in front of him and started beating me like a side of beef! I managed to gate but not by much.
And I know what every young druid thinks, "Bah, I can kite everything easily...". I was 52 when I tried to kite the seafury because he was blue and I figured it's worth a shot, worst case I will outrun him and gate...

Just want to inquire that i've seen a few of these bad boys on druzzil ro. They look like a smaller scimmy with a cool handle. They also have these little green/brown bubbles floating around it its a great effect =P. Get one of these and full Elder Spiritists and your a set for life druid =)
