This mask is extremely common and worth getting (although i am a very unlucky roller heh heh).
It might be ok for a lvl 40ish player, but I have had this for too long and really need somthing with more AC and str. I think Ill stick to fighting in Maidens Eye in hopes of scoring a Stone Visor.
With some effort, you can get a cougarskin mask from Velious (NO DROP, for those PvP players).

Most race/class Wt 1.0
Unless you are really weight sensitive and need the extra STR from the sarnak hide mask, I don't see how this mask costs that much. And from the other posts concerning about warrior having extra STR, they say that even 10 or 15 extra pts in STR don't really cause much significance for the tanks.
By the time you can camp this mask, cougarskin mask should be pretty easy for you to do. I got my cougarskin around 40.
So I am two cents poorer now.

Lets face it 1500pp for this is crazy. I believe people that put pricing in like that are the people hoping to find suckers to sell it to. I bought mine for 400pp on The Nameless server. Considering it's stats 400pp is a fair price for buyer and seller.

Well don't I feel dumb! Was given one of these today in EC while trying to sell a Foci Robe I purchased for 600pp! Anyways I had no clue on its price and monk offered me 50pp for it and me being a poor cleric and more worried about selling the robe I sold it for 50pp! Man I wish I checked PC on it =( Send Smallboot a tell on Torvo server if ya want that foci robe

eventually we forgot about corpse and it rotted.
I sold my 7wis 7str face item for 500pp too to put this mask in its place. Not many face items with AC and STR in the face slot... but now that i see it sells for this much... i think i'll go back to KC

Bought this in EC tunnel of some cleric...neither of us knew the price, so we agreed on my proposed price of 60pp. Not a bad deal for me...not at all
I mean buy 2 mammoth meats get a high coulaty cougar skin and turn to that guy in iceclad. EZ :) same ac mask WITH HP ON IT :). Also even 20- can do that quest.

Well, I might have to agree with you in one way, but the same I don't. In my opinion, 5 strength is better than 2 dex and 2 stamina, plus the mask weighs .4, instead of the cougerskin which weighs 1. Weight is very big for monks. Anyway, I really appreciate you pointing out the quest though. I think I need my 1k more than I do the strength and weight.

Two nights ago I was inspecting a level 20 some player. I was quite suprised to see all of his equipment was newbie stuff except for this Sarnak-Hide Mask. I asked him how he got it, cause I thought it only dropped in Karnor's. He said this was his first character, and he had been killing lots of sarnaks in Lake of Ill Omen and this dropped off one. At first I didn't believe him, but he wasn't a twink at all and he had no reason to lie about it. So this thing at least drops off skeletal captain and sarnaks in LOIO, not sure if it's all sarnaks though or just one type. He couldn't remember what type he looted it off of.

Well, he might not have been lying. Sometime I give mobs some of my leftover or weak equipment to leave the newbies suprises. Maybe he got lucky? = )

Umm no your wrong, only drops off of skele captain. Someone gave the sarnak that mask thats why he had it:)
