This line of armor would be very nice, I would think, but it depends on the lvl...

Without the effects, EQ has gone and pulled off that a lvl 45ish would be begging for new armor. Of course, with those effects, you really wouldn't need to.

But with all the effects and the full suite, 50+ are looking for the uber stuff that they can easily get ahold of.

Heck, I'm thinking this isn't all that hard to get if someone is raiding this mob and a lower lvl toon, like 20-30 manages to sneak around and when they call out this stuff, finally shows up and rolls for it.

I'm not saying this is useless, I'm saying a lot has changed since old school, and...well...I would like this whole armor set for my SK and my Bard, lol. They're awesome peices and I'd be fit for a long time =D My Bard stll has noob armor stuff! He could use some help =P

Everyone loves my bought BP(wont show em the link hehe), I will save it for Fire resists, Cant really use the clickie blind for another 40 levels DOH! its name is very cool!
Just got this tonight...

My Warrior Elke is now the proud owner of this BP. Helping my friend Xanthea with her epic. Only one other person rolled on it, and my resist gear bites so I thought I'd give it a try. I won.

It's not my main BP, but I tried out the effect, and it is a great taunt. I'll experiment to see the best times to use the effect, but am very happy to have it. And, +20 Fire Resist will rock in many situations when I'm not MA. SolC anyone?
Use is arggo.
# Jun 04 2003 at 4:03 AM Rating: Decent
Watching pally and playing bst, I found blind spells have nice arggo. This being AoE, this is uber way to taunt the hoarde at once. Also add being detrimental it can be cast while mobs are mezzed and not break it. If used right this is one uber taunting item useful many times over.

The main reason for getting this armor would be fire resists, can't see much use for it as a warrior myself, other than that. I am wearing some to do Naggy and the likes. The breastplate has one of the best fire resists available to warriors on the chest, add in the ac and odd stats and it is the best 20FR Breastplate
casting time

casting time is?
RE: casting time
# Feb 10 2003 at 8:00 PM Rating: Decent
Casting time is 4 seconds. I like mine, especially when I collect a few 'fans' as I'm running through a KOS zone. One click on this and almost the entire group usually splits up and disappears, never to be seen again.

I got this breastplate after helping a friend do her epic. The weird part is there were 4+ full groups of people (I know, overkill! Poor Ragefire) and NO ONE rolled on this except for me. I guess they looked at the AC and were shocked or something.

There is one huge problem with it.. it's bright orange-red color matches absolutely no other armor I have seen. The things I do to be functional, I swear.

Is this any good? i've got it on my 27bard at the moment after taking RF out with some friends on my main i was the only one who could make any use of this on our twinks so i ran my bard over and picked it up along with the helm.

i know the trigger level is 45 but wasn't sure how usefull it was. I've managed to get some cash for dye and now it looks like Lambent since i have a mix of Ss and Lambent.

What i do like about this item as all those who have it will agree is the name. It is a hell of a name and I was in a group in HK yesterday and everyone kept asking me about the Helm and BP. Anyways will have to do till i finish upgrading my main and can then focus on this babe. Think Tae'ew armor (whatever it is) and a Ss will be ok for me

I have this BP and wind up getting blinded by the Proc on this item fairly regularly. I don't know if it's a bug or whether I am just that lucky.

blinded by sunbeam proc
The proc sunbeam is a target based aoe. while it will not affect other PC's it will affect you. same way if a wizard casts a rain based spell they can hit themselves.
To avoid that be at atleast casting range from your target.

This stuff is an awesome orangey-red color.
Just thought you'd like to know since you were probably all clueless as to what color it would be! :P

Oh ya, and even though it is best for bards, this stuff is too cool to not roll on it. To Warriors, right click effects are a dream. And to all the other classes with limited spells, this stuff is still a dream! Plus like I said, it is pretty!

#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 05 2001 at 12:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) No offense to you bards out there, but when Im doing this quest with my cleric buddies and this armor drops Im rolling on it. Warriors and SK's can wear it, I have both, although my SK isnt near high enough to even get past the front of Sol B. Point is, if my warrior or SK can wear and I took place in the effort Im rolling, unless a CoF drops. Why? You wonder. well the effects are nice when you have Jboots and are trying to solo. Having a ranged weapon that doesnt take ammo and does more than 40 or so damage a pop when it lands is a warriors wet dream.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 16 2002 at 1:53 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I guess you didn't notice the "no drop" tag... Don't see how said SK could loot this from ZI.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 18 2001 at 11:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Are you guys stupid or something? You will never roll on this item because it is for the Cleric Particle Quest ( epic ) You freaking morons will never camp this nor get any loot, well possibly if no uber guilds take it!
RE: No offense
# Jun 11 2001 at 11:27 AM Rating: Default
I take it you don't know that all these uber guilds do Need Before Greed on rolls such as this, seeing as you said you can't even make it past the Sol B entrance. Though, I'm not sure, SK's may be allowed to roll on it as well. I do believe there will be something better for you then this thing by the time you take him down.

Not to mention that it is NO DROP and his SK wont even sniff this thing until he's of lvl.

Did either of you read his post? he said he has a warrior and an sk, he only said the SK wasn't old enough meaning the warrior is. <sigh> Don't act so high an mighty till you at least learn how to read.

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 12 2001 at 1:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) sorry to say but everytime i help a cleric on this dude my SK is goin to roll against everyone click proc items are the greatest and there arent many click proced armor pieces for a SK being mana dependant sucks especially when the s#!t hits the fan and you cant even FD or fear for an escape so blind would come in handy for a get away
RE: Total armor
# Apr 03 2001 at 12:45 AM Rating: Decent
Agreed. This stuff is tailor-made for bards... every piece has CHA, most have INT, and the rest have either DEX or AGI.
#Anonymous, Posted: May 19 2001 at 1:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Why do i want this for my bard? is it normal to feel this way ;) Go up, blind, then do the DoT songs MWA HAHAHAHAHAHA....ill stop now lol

#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 13 2001 at 3:46 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I tried to resist responding to the previous post but couldn't do it. First off, Mages have a Magic based DD for 825 called Shock of Steel and a pet. So 20svf doesn't really mean jack.

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 11 2001 at 10:07 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If i remember correctly, i think sunbeam is a level 60 wizard spell, but then again, that would probably be extremely powerful for a right-clickable, no mana spell, so im thinking that im wrong, but hwo knows?
