I solo all the drakes on this island as a Level 70 necro on Rallos Zek. 1-2 crowns per clearing and often none. Best of luck but can be soloed by any pet class if you are a smart puller.

Getting keyed to 7th island is not trivial-it takes awhile (on one of the islands you have to wait at LEAST 80 minutes for a spawn), at least a couple of strong groups, and a puller/MA who know what they're doing as it is easy to pull the one mob you DON'T want to pull early-which stops it for everybody.

If you get keyed, or have a necro/cleric bridge, 7th island itself is actually not that hard. Follow these simple rules:

1. Prepare to die, a lot.
2. Have TWO rezzers, one who does absolutely NOTHING-no buffs, no heals, nothing. Don't chance it, even though some buffs won't pass aggro. The second rezzer is there to rez everyone in or you're back to square one. If they just SIT, they will never get aggro and die.

3. Drakes, 20? I always only see 19.

A) The difficulty is there are about 19-20 drakes, of 3 different types (and difficulties-black, green, and blue, lowest to highest). They move at different speeds basically dependent on type around the temple, so there's kind of a swirling mass, you might have 20 bunched up at once or 20 evenly spaced depending on what loop they are on. That, however works to your advantage.

B) The ones to watch are the blue-they make kind of a weird switchback at the right front that takes a long time to keep moving. Wait until they are completely past the left front, cross your fingers, and WAIT another circle if necessary. Wait until you can tag a black at the END of a line. It may cast a little. WALK it back to your group near the edge of the island. I say again, WALK it back. If you run, like most pullers seem to like to do, it will lose interest in killing you immediately and fly around the temple-aggroing sphinxes, who DT you. WALK the thing back to your group.

C) They are "belly casters" so the only way to nuke is to get right up on them. They cannot be mezzed. Most or all summon.

D) Once you get one this way, rinse and repeat. Try to get blacks and greens first, much easier-blues are fairly tough. After 4-5, a "break" develops in the pattern and you can start tagging whatever is at the end of that break. From there, drakes are trivial for a group of 65ish.

4. Sphinxes, 6. Someone's going to die, as they DT every 30 seconds. One group CAN take a sphinx with sufficient DPS (better to have 9 or 10 at least if you can't kill it within 30-60 seconds with 4-5 people), but you always need a sacrificial lamb. They attack, die, and the rest of the group piles in there. Before the fight position yourself so the push pushes that sphinx out and away from the temple to avoid another one adding. Rez, and repeat. Don't rebuff the lamb, they're going to die 6 times.

5. Undines, 8. After the last two, super easy. Try to FD or pet pull one or two. You CAN cast on these, nuke em down, but they're healers, so make sure you are all on a single one-demolish it then on to the next. If you get all 6, see rule 2, and try to at least kill one of them before your rez.

6. Loot-lots of weird quest items. Big thing, Crown of Elemental Mastery. From 0-4 drop every time-I've heard people claim more but I've never seen it and I've done this on the order of 20 times. Any one of the mobs can drop it.

7. Respawn between 22-24 hours, more like 24, but it's not exact, so if you go up for a repop you may be surprised by a full spawn.

Hiyas - our guild havs had several forays up to the 7th island to get a crown for one of our mages. Unfortunately none have dropped. we have cleared the island but nothing. Is it common not tohave one drop as from what I thought you are bound to have at least one drop?

Any information on the drop rate would be most appreciated as we are going back soon to have another go before our mage curls up her toes and goes grey from old age!

I have complete my epic , for Sky only 10 peeps 65 for the 7th island , 10 yours for come at island and 3 crown droop from drakes . Btw the pull is not easy and the padind suckss BUT the epic is ubha :)

some tips from a mage in a small guild:))
1. try to go to the travel agency for your server and see who has POsky reserved...then ask that guild to tag along, most are very willing to let you:))
2. i went with a guild and as long as you start early it should only take 1 day to get to and kill off the 7th (we did it in 7 hours)
3. raid was 26 plp average lvl of 62...just becarefull not to take more then 25 non-keyed players as only 25 items for keys drop on one of the isle...
i hope that helped a little and good luck to everyone...oh yea first time i went cleared the 7th and NO crowns dropped..returned the next day and only 2 dropped im thinking they may have nerfed the drop rate.
