There's some evidence that indicates that overhaste is capped at 25% and certain delays don't reap a benefit from maxed overhaste where others do and 21 is one of the delays that does. is my source for this information, and according to it, the dealy drops to 9 whereas a 22 delay weapon stays at 10, making this weapon even more attractive than it already was, and far more attractive than the NBoB imo.

Ok, I use Notched Blade of Bloodletting, Yes this Dragonkiller is good but I don't see how it is the best. The effect REALLY sucks and its actually less base hp than notch. We killed Vish and this went to a Bard. Most DPS classes like rogues and ranja seem to have or want the notch blade.I would think with the proc and being you would most likely have this in offhand the Notch would just be better dps.

The proc is on the same spell line as cleric/shaman hot. I don't know about you but I leave a spell slot open for shaman hot anyway. It's more dps then notched blade, and generates far less aggro. I own both. There is literally no contest between them when you introduce a damage aug. Lower delay weapons benefit more from damage augs. I use Notched outside of raids when I tank.

At 34+1 / 21, this weapon has a 5-6% better ratio than the Notched Blade's 37+1 / 24.

In the offhand, the damage from the Notched Blade's 175dd proc will just barely make up the difference at best.

In the main hand, the faster speed of the Dragonkiller will give more hits for the damage bonus to apply to, but that should be more than offset by the Notched Blade proccing twice as often as it would in the offhand, so I expect Notched Blade of Bloodletting would pull ahead slightly there.

Against highly resistant mobs, Dragonkiller is clearly superior.

actually imo the proc sucks, at the end game buffs slots run out even at 21, stick a 125 tap proc instead which a ranger can crit heal for 640 (with aha3 and ahg3), and even without aa the tap outdamages this proc and frees a buff slot

The healing done by the proc is pretty low and buff slots are pretty limited in high end raids.

However, one of the things you need to keep a buff slot open for in those raids are cleric/shaman heal-over-time spells which will overwrite this proc.

So while a lifetap or high-end damage proc would be more useful in the long run, this proc does not get in the way as it might appear to at first glance.

It shoulda had somethign like 1000 Bane damage, but an overall sucky weapon, so it was only a DRAGONKILLER. Lol
RE: Bane dmg...
# May 25 2005 at 9:50 PM Rating: Default
They should make a weapon with like 1000bane dmg, but with like 200 dly and 1 regular dmg (so you can only use it to fight the Bane mob) and with like negative stats, make it a punishment to get that good of dmg

On a serious note, Why doesn't this have a better raio... King in RS drops 1hb with exact same ratio and this is supposed to be a few tiers higher

incorrect kings weapon is a 32 21 this is 34 21. this also has much better stats and not just the normal proc, granted this is like a level 20 cleric spell.

really nice ratio, plus if you are at this level of raiding you probably have all of the AAs for weapon procs, basically adding 65hp to your regen, so say you have 50hp base regen, and you have some regen spell on for another 45, and then this pops in for 65? thats 170hp/tick regen, and 115hp regen, all the time

in raids that is very helpful, and over long fights that adds up to a lot of extra hp's

difference between life and death imho
