i am hearing this is for half elf cultural armor
It used to be before the revamp. I hated farming them on my sk lol.
Untel'Dak in PoNightmare just dropped this.
Finally have my smithing up to craft masters for my sk at 63. I can solo these but man the drop rate is tough.
these teeth seem to show as a lightsource on the crocs from what ive seen when ive killed a few in p.o.nightmare and just killed on in p.o.earth. that may help folks who are looking for them
I've had 2 tooth drop off the hunter in plane of Nightmare. Out of about 100 mobs that I killed. So a fairly rare drop but it still drops in nightmare.

copy the above and save it into your plane of nightmare map file (I suggest map 3 since it's usually blank) and that will show all 6 that I know of.

While camping for silks in nightmare at the dock a croc spawns on the hill to the right. Sorta in my pulling path safety margin, so I kill em every spawn. Had some enormous croc teeth drop and today one of these. If so rare for cultral arnor, I guess I will ask outragous price in bazaar to make up for the gouging I take if I buy nidnight stones there.
LOL was camping hobs and pulled croc while adjudting spawn and another tooth dropped :)
They are semi-common drops off the crocs in Veeshan's Peak. Not the easyist of folk to kill. They hit 500-600ish and proc an 1800 DD stun and i *think* they rampage, if i recall a while back. I feel for those that need them but I'm glad they put something in VP to give it a reason to go back to these days.

i dont know how many of these things i have killed but i have never seen one..not even in the bazaar, i worked hard to get my masters book on my troll and even harder to get my smithing up and now i cant even make my augs cuz i cant find a great reptile tooth for sale or on a mob. would rather camp them but thats obviously a stupid idea. on the other hand my dark elf cleric gets midnight stones extremely fast and easy, only problem is he isn't high enough to get the aug book yet (already made a full set of masters gear though, lol). oh and dont even get me started on my iksar necro and what he has to do to make his gear, plain stupid how some of these items drop more often than blue diamonds and then other characters will never see their cultural augs unless they buy it off of another race, but what to put it in, guessing i'll wait till i can do the gm's cultural armor/augs because this is a complete waste of time. if anyone has info on where these things drop more consistantly plz post it..plz, its sad when someone goes from 55-58 killing a mob that is supposed to drop tradeskill gear and has yet to see one drop..not to mention i got 8+ aa's at this camp..omg i hate someone at soe so much, wish i knew where the ******* lived X)~
According to this post by Allakhazam it drops in Plane of Nightmare.... obviously he has never tried to camp them. I killed over 100 of those stupid crocs in PoN and got NOTHING. Yes I got some loot but I didnt even get the hides for the tailoring. This is really really stupid. Heck I can't even get the stupid Old Dragon Horn to drop to finish my masters augment quest! Sony needs to fix all of this stuff or put a person who actually PLAYS in charge of drop rates. I thought it was bad enough that Metallic drake scales were so rare... but come on... masters stuff for these teeth is more rare than the drake scales! So frusterating!!!!

I agree with CaptainRich. I've been in PoN for 2 days now about 6 hours each day. The first day I got 2 teeth and none the second. I keep hoping they will increase the dang drop rate on these things. 16 hours and 2 teeth is just ridiculous.
Immediately after the patch I went croc hunting in Nightmare. 25 crocs and nothing, at all. Not that I didn't get any teeth, I got no loot whatsoever.
As far as hunting them. I zoned in and ran pretty much due east to the river. Leved down the cliff to the river. The first time I picked up one of the crocs in a standard kite I got swarmed by the netters and had to fade, numerous times. I went searching for the exit and found no way back up the cliff. I did find the exit over by the hedge in the NE section. And I also discovered a nice kitting area just west of the hedge, no roamers.
Went back to the river and started pulling crocs to my kitting area. With conviction I only lost about 20%HP due to summoning. If all goes south run behind the hedge and click the tombstone there to zone out.

After killing 25 more of these I got the following drops...
3 Emerald Crocodile Scale
2 Enormous Croc Tooth
1 Crocodile Toe
1 Great Reptile Tooth
3 Emerald Crocodile Scale
2 Enormous Croc Tooth
1 Crocodile Toe
1 Great Reptile Tooth
This does not necessarily prove anything, but Basilisk Skin, which has the next id in the database, drops off Lava Basilisks in..... Veeshan's Peak.
Easy farming for tradeskillers then..
I guess the hope is that they have also added this to mobs in the DoN zones.

It would really suck if this only drops in VP. Considering that you need a raid to get past the access dragon for key. I'm having one heck of a time getting my guild to raid this mob.
A needed drop in a keyed zone really is a rip-off.
