Fractured Drake Claw  

 

I posted this under the Halfling Cultural Armor section as well...

Fractured Drake Claws dropped for me and updated my "Creatures of the Temple" quest while in the Stillmoon Instance: Scales of Justice. They were quite common in this instance. Anyway, I only needed a few to finish this part (quest has been sitting in que for a very long time). Might want to check out the other Stillmoon instances too, if not this one. Mobs that dropped the claws were: a Stillmoon granite keeper, a Stillmoon seer, a Stillmoon basalt mage, and a Stillmoon stone caster.

Before the Dec 5th patch, I had Fractured drake claws dropping from various drakes on the bridge in the Northwest corner of Thundercrest at a rate of about 1 every 3 kills and had a few drop off the lone drake at the gatejust not as often. With the patch, mob spawns have changed. There are now 3 drakes spawning at the front gate and bridge and 1 less spawning in the northwest corner. I have killed all the drakes at the front bridge multiple times and the same for the drakes in the northwest corner. I have not had a single drake claw, fractured or otherwise drop since the patch. Anyone know what has happened or if the task is now bugged?

Added note; I tried hailing the artisan and saying broken, as directed for other races in the patch note, but I did not get a result. The kills I had did update in the task as well.

Regardless of what the list above says, the claws can drop off any any drake in the Thundercrest Isles. I have yet to get any from the isle defender (goat mob), but I can't say for certain they do not.

Drops in the Nest are not counting it seems, unless you ahve to turn them in for them to count?

For Cultural Half Elf quest

I think this mainly drops in Thundercrest, but I just did the Grounding the Drakes mission and had several drop and update my task. That's a good side mission to kill drakes in Lavaspinner.
