Book Text:

Dwarves have a long history
of glorious warriors. They
are known for their
doggedness and ferocity in
battle. Most people also
understand that they are
not blind to the arts of
stealth and subtlety,
especially when it applies
to a good fight. What most
people do not recognize is
that symbolism is very
important to Dwarven
culture. Most Dwarves, in
fact, generally deny their
deep attachment to the
symbols of their own
culture, shrugging them off
as trinkets or adornments.
This book, however, covers
these symbols in depth,
with special attention paid
to the use of those symbols
on armor.

This volume talks about
simple adornments used
throughout Dwarven history.
Predominantly axes,
hammers, shields and other
symbols of power and
strength, the author also
recognizes other, more
subtle symbols such as the
use of color and rigid,
straight lines in most
Dwarven symbolism.

Among the pages of
discussion about these
symbols is a pattern. This
pattern combines the
obvious Dwarven symbols
with the subtle ones to
create an inspiring device.
You know that you will be
able to reproduce this
pattern many times before

the book becomes worn and
you must replace it.

To create pattern for
tailoring armor templates
based on these patterns you
will need this book, a
large bottle of ink, a roll
of good quality vellum, a
quill and a compacted
backpack to hold the
patterns you will make.
You'll also need a book
binding to do the work.
