There are several rune looking items called glyphs. Killing mobs u can get a glyph called yar' lir that takes you onna journey around the broodlands zone invised. Each place giving you experience. another is the tro' lir? havent saeen this one. another is the veth' lir which tasks you to kill each of the sentrys in the 4 sets of stones. theres the fire stones, wind stones, ice stones and the earth stones. you can pop the sentry by killing a mob and standing inside the stones. the sentrys can cast a lot of DOTs and other spells and they pop at different levels each time. maybe there are different glyph tasks for different items. I just finished this quest:
1. Kill mobs surrounding the monoliths
2. Type /open while targeting a decaying corpse
3. Loot the Glyph and a tutorial looking window will pop up...either choose yes or no.
4. Choose yes and the quest will appear in your task window.
5. Go to each of the monoliths' centers invis'd.
6. After standing in the center invis for a min or so a sentry will spawn. There are 4 total and each one summons. They don't seeinvis, can be snared / rooted. I pulled them away from the monoliths so they would be alone.
7. The last one I was killing spawned adds at 50%ish but when I tried it a second time it did not. Possibly because it took too long the first time for me to get it to 50%.
8. When the last sentry dies the quest will update to say Kill 1 stone guardian. This is the Guardian of the Stones.
9. The Guardian of the Stones has a lot of hps...was like a 7min fight with 2 druids and a warrior. The mob cast blind, a few different dots, and stun.
10. When it finally died the quest was completed and I received a yellow message as follows:
Your journey to uncover the purpose and meaning of the Glyphs of the Kin is complete, and you have done well for your species. Perhaps you may one day be able to challenge the might of the dragons alone, but for now, you still have much to learn.
You gain party experience!!
The Guardian of the Stones dropped :
Glyphed Hammer of the Protectors

Skill: 2H Blunt Atk Delay: 40
DMG: 37 AC: 5
Effect: Bite of Ykesha (Combat)

SV COLD: +10 SV MAGIC: +10 SV POISON: +10
Recommended level of 50.
WT: 3.0 Size LARGE

Bite of Ykesha
Required Level: 40
Spell Effect: Strikes your opponent with the force of Ykesha, causing 50 damage.

heh sweet my text is the item lore! i mispelled journy! :P
anyhow the task when you take it is to find and kill a sentry at each of 4 "Stones" I have killed gaurdian of the stones (drops a cloak) but he didnt seem to be affiliated with the task, I've camped all of the pofear lookin tower spire deals and have yet to come across a named spawning with anythig like the name sentry ?? i'm assuming this task is currenlty broken or something rather

Has anyone fiured out the task you get for looting this yet?

All you have to do is follow the quest text. Journey to the 4 monolithic rings in Broodlands and it should update your task.
