Drops off of Druushk in Veeshan's Peak 1.0 in Kunark era on TLP. This may change once VP 2.0 opens during either Gate of Discord or Omens of War.

Vex Thal surpasses a hefty amount, not to add that not even many guilds have the capibility to handle the zone. And no i definitly do not think those 2 weps are close to being the greatest weps of in the game at all. Look up Tunares sword and/or if you would like to be stunned Great Staff of the Fourwinds, or just basically look up some one Fire Of Heaven's magelo's or Afterlife's.

Apparently, you don't look at dates much. The first post is two years old. Back then VP probably was the hardest zone in the game and those weapons might have been the best.

umm, your noob, SoD is 11/18 and its not the greatest weap in the world... there are 20dmg/19dly weaps in PoP with ALOT better stats and a DD proc that does almost 200. and also this shortsword is easier to get than SoD figuring that SoD does drop anymore.
20/19? lol theres a no rent sword from a GM event floating around on my server that is like 500/20 and has a huge 1hs skill modifier

Ummm....who's the ****** that dident bother to look at the DATE of the posting to see that it PRE-Dates both POP and LEgacy of Yek. So.... Now who looks stoopid?? Not to mention this debate will NEVER be ended because "Best" weapons depends on CLass, Race, Others Stats, Other Armor and effects, etc.... SO... Whats the Point Really! Sheez.....
um SSRA WAS around during this time...so ya...and SoD is velious era nerf which no longer drops. As well with weapons out of ToV, and other weapons like blackout,acrylia handled broadsword...etc...etc..etc...point is...stfu ^_^. This is an uber old world item omfg! Prolly the first ever weapon to have force shock rofl

2 very rare, and legendary weapons in everquest are the Blade of Black Dragon Eye, and the Rod of Mourning. I own both on the tunare server, and it has taken my brother and I a year to get ahold of them. Rod of Mourning was the best melee 2hb in the game, no longer dropped, but from seb. proced Force Shock, a 90dd, 6 second stun. Procs way too many times in combat, sometimes it seems it procs every to every other hit.
Blade of the Black Dragon Eye is a huge, almost transparent black sword that procs envenomed bolt, a 20-30dd and 200 DOT. also no longer dropped.
As far as i know, the only other ROM dropped on tunare (we always thought 3 but..) has moved to Drinal. These two weapons were removed because they realized the power of the weapons added to the influx of high level players into the zones these dropped in, created too much a chance for many of them to exist. So now they are modified and dropped in VP, the hardest known zone in the game.
