You must understand that the 1.5 and 2.0 not only increases your groups chances to crit but will increase the amount of their crits. The other day a monk critted for 11k in Anguish. They have started grouping me with the monks and zerkers as healer. I fire this off at 90% on boss mobs and he is at 55% before it wears off. Things slow down after that.
Missing effect?
# Nov 02 2005 at 11:58 AM Rating: Decent
The 2.0 has an aggro reduction effect on it similar to 1.5 called "Reverence of the Heyokah." What is the % of aggro reduction?
RE: Missing effect?
# Apr 07 2006 at 11:46 PM Rating: Decent
Reverence of the Heyokah
1: Decrease Spell/Bash Hate by 6%

Seems this item does have Reverence of the Heyokah, yeilding 6% hate reduction.

EDIT: 8% if "Epic Augment" quest completed.

Petrifed Splinterstaff

Ok, here goes...I'm a GoD+ geared Shaman, and let me tell you, I WANT this Item. If you want a combat weapon, the Petrified Splinterstaff is the WIN! Look it up, but here is the Low down. Better stats that 1.5, TA or Hammer of Hours. Also it procs Time Lapse! That's right, the same proc that is on the Hammer of Hours, and it doesn't have a Neg Proc Mod like HoH!

Yall that are complaining about the epic 2.0 sounds like a bunch of UBAH peeps who forgot where you came from (meaning once you were lvl 1 too) spoiled little brats. I be more then happy to have my epic 2.0, but have a lot more to get done before I ever start this one. Got to rememeber not all of us have the a guild that take the least people and take out raid tartgets as of yet. BUt I tell you this I be estatic to get the final peice of the epic crawl and I never forget that I was a newb once too.

Nice PvP primary, but imo theres nothing that can replace the "TA" in PvE.
RE: TA >

What are some of you guys smoking? this is a far superior weapon that TA I would bag my TA for this any day.

I personally use Nihil to slow on raids because by the time you Malos and click TA the mobs are usually dead, Nihil is less frequently resisted and if I need too I'll follow it up with a malos and TA after(usually on boss mobs that last longer than 3 mins)the stats on this are much better imho nice clicky and effect too..... Clicky slow ain't all that. With the extra buff spot from aa's you don't have to worry about freeing up a slot

Why bag the TA... With bandolier you can switch back and forth as often as you want.

I switch a LOT... in an average evening I probably switch back and forth 100 times or more.

i wouldn't complain in the least with owning either 1.5 or 2.0. and although it isn't much of a damage upgrade, the delay is faster then 1.0 and i know that all of you with 1.0 and no worn haste items will agree that the delay of 1.0 sucks when haste drops. But i doubt i will ever see 2.0, guess i'll just live with 1.5.

Ok, for the apparently Time flagged shammy that says this sucks.. Not all of us have this super uber gear, and this to me Looks awsome. I am vaguely Elemental geared, and this thing still looks amazing, i cant wait till my guild finishes anguish flagging so i can work on it.
RE: ??
# Jan 17 2005 at 8:42 PM Rating: Decent
Clue in to get this u will need time+ gear u can't just walk into anguish with full EP gear so by the time u can even come close to touching this epic u will have gear better then time...
RE: ??
# Jan 26 2005 at 11:48 AM Rating: Decent
Indeed, SOE has once not thought about this . I doubt any shaman with the clicky slow stick would give it up for this. I for one will never give it up for this , only the hp/mana would suit me, the rest is junk
RE: ??
# Mar 03 2006 at 4:43 PM Rating: Decent
As a shaman that has both the 1.5 (working on 2.0 now that I have my orb) and the TA.

Let me just say, I would never get rid of the TA. That being said, I have hotbuttons macros that automatically switch the bandoliers and click the item... So I only equip it when I actually need to slow.

Best of both worlds.

This epic was discovered at least two weeks ago, I saw a shaman weilding it, and had him link it to me on Dec 29.
# Jan 13 2005 at 6:57 PM Rating: Decent
This will be a bag and click item until (if) they ever make TA inventory clickable. This item is just not near as useful as TA.

The long hours of getting this item make it not worth the effort involved, especially with a subpar focus effect.

Edit: And for the posts below this one: Cleave II = 80% improved chance to critical hit. The click effect from this does not add to that chance.

Everyone tell me what you think, but I thought it was kinda random that it would be 1hb...i was all about getting your piercing up for when you get your spear of fate....then they completely switch the skill type for 2.0?.....weak
RE: 1HB??
# Feb 03 2005 at 1:55 PM Rating: Decent
Hammer of hours is nice 1hb to skill up with:) Bora 70 Shaman TP

Anybody who's gonna be gettin this won't have used epic 1.0 for a LONG time.

And I'd be willin to be 99% of the people who are capable of gettin this would have been using a 1hb for a while anyway, seein how there arent too many piercers out there for shammys anyway after epic 1.0... sure there are some, probably quite a few, but there are also so many better options

Hmm, Can you say PL?
# Jan 13 2005 at 8:52 AM Rating: Decent
Uh, I do realize it has a 6 minute delay on how often you can right clicky this, but eh, I do not see a minimum cap on who this can be cast on , so Imagine using this to pl your lowby alt 2 boxing? Very Very nice.

Saw it yesterday a Shammy i group with regularly finally go his. I rarely seen any of the other epic's on prexus, so far i have just seen this the beast epic, the druid epic and the necro epic 2.0's. Prexus is very lazy.

nice epic :)
#Tuluvar, Posted: Jan 12 2005 at 10:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Im not impressed. If it looks as ridiculous as epic 1.5 i sure as hell wont trade in my TA for this junk. Stats dont matter anything at this lvl anymore ( as in most are capped already). Only hp/mana is interesting. The effect on itself is hardly worth it.

People like you just make me shake my head. For one thing it looks very shamanistic. For another, that effect is AWESOME. I would love to have all my crits hit for double + 10%. If I have the OoW AAs that increase my crit value, a crit would land for 410% of the non crit damage. And I'd have a 65% greater chance of doing it. SO WHAT if it equals Cleave 2, it stacks with it I'm sure! This effect makes your whole group a critting machine with AE DoTs being mitigated by the healing when they land.

Man, I swear somebody could hand you the best chocolate chip cookie in the world and you'd hand it back and tell them, "No thanks, doesn't look right, plus number of chips doesn't really matter any more."

Go compare to the monk epics in terms of both visuals and stats/effects.

Flying Cookies of Doom = Pathetic epic graphic.

The stats and effects speak for themselves in near uselessness.
RE: :p
# Jan 12 2005 at 11:04 PM Rating: Excellent
effect hardly worth it? what are you smoking?

let me spell it out for you,

11: Chance to Critical Hit(65)

increase my chance to crit by 65%? i'll take some! I guess since your a shaman who obviously rarely/never melee's this doesnt get you too excited. Don't forget that shamans are primarily a support class to melee.

12: Increase Hitpoints v2 by 500 per tic

Whats not to love? as a shaman, which is a class designed primarily with the conversion of hp to mana in mind, to the point that you get both spells and AA's for it, i'd expect you to be extatic. that clicky is basically a shaman or necro's best friend, and I'd love it for main tank situations on raid mobs.

Stats arent important? again dude, you must be smokin the goods. ever raided a high end zone with zonewide -300 stats? yep yep. stats are still everything they used to be, and they're still just as important as ever.
RE: :p
# Jan 13 2005 at 11:54 AM Rating: Default
Not 65%, Cleave 2 is Increase Chance to Critical Hit by 60, so our clicky is just a little better than Cleave 2, not sure the equation it uses but its not a %
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 12 2005 at 11:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i agree with you, this does seem to be a very nice epic all around, though i would really like to see more damage on it =( it does damn near the same damage as the 1.0. meanwhile the paladins get that massive damage upgrade. heh while i do realize that they ARE A melee class and shams arnt.. its just wishful thinking
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 12 2005 at 11:00 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
