for us, it drops maybe 2 or 3 times we kill him. all sk's in my guild have it cept me. i keep roll'n crapy rolls. but alas, i am next to get by default :)

Finally dropped for us last night - literally the 27th Hanvar killed since it last dropped for us in January. I won it, but hopefully the logjam is broken for the other SKs in our alliance who don't have this or Eulogy yet.

We are literally going on 26 Hanvar kills in a row without this dropping - last drop for us was 1 January 2007.
Anybody else having this run of bad luck? Anyone see it drop within the last few months?

this must be the most uncommon drop in anguish. We have cleared that zone around 25 times and NO MC. Starting to really **** me off. UNCOMMON!!! more like non existant.

self lifetap group mana
The DD isn't a lifetap.
Although the description on the weapon, and in lucy is the same wording as the dark siphon.
Ssaid it was changed long ago to just a dd, but description wasn't changed.
There was supposedly a problem with coding so that the tap was self and mana was group. So they decided to just be a dd.

I have this and I get <soandso>'s mind flickers with energy for every party member.
So I think (and so does the spell recourse on lucy) that it is a group effect.

It's been changed from 1HB to 1HS some months after it's been discovered.

There seems to be different views on this proc.. from the looks of it with the way alla reports stuff that is works like a lifetap with a mana recource.. is the recource group? lifetap self only? Don't respond unless you yourself have this weapon thanks

thanks for the info nice proc for self lifetap and mana not as good as group mana :D

I would have to agree with you on the rarity of the morguecaller dropping Kelefane. My guild has killed Hanvar prolly 80+ times and have only had 2 drop. Last Morgue to drop was in June and we clear Anguish weekly if not every 5 days. I am the only SK in guild w/o the morgue out of 3 sks. Definately needs to be upped. Hopefully I'll get one soon for x-mas.
The Morguecaller should be listed as "Very Rare" instead of uncommon.

The droprate on this weapon along w/ the Pally weapon off Ture need to be upped slightly imo.

Fight smarter not harder.
Been changed a while after the first Morguecallers were discovered - it *is* a sword now, using the dragorn sword model, the one with the toothed blade near the hilt.

Wonder if this proc will land in PvP. Alot of mana giving spells/procs are can't be used in PvP such as mental horror/corruption and our line of group taps.

This isn't a mana proc...The recourse is mana, but the initial proc is an hp lifetap... Reading is fundamental..

Your wrong it just proves that some people are pesamistic and that the high end gamers might not like what they get sometimes, you should get to this point in the game befor you start saying whats what =P

ok well explain to me how these weapons/armor are not liked, they give you all the focus effects for your 70+ spells plus the dmg delay for the weapons are an upgrade from previous GoD gear and the raw hit point/mana for the gear is improved, plus you have added effects now such as shieldings and melee abilities...u need to clarify what is disliked about the gear that "sucks".

I would just like to comment and not to this paarticular weapon, and you know who you are, that i think it shows when somone complains how a weapon or item is gimp then some other class weapon (I think a good example would be the Pal vs. SK weapon in Tacvi off the minis) shows how bad of a player they are and that good players will take whats given to them and make the best out of what they get. If i were to get a weapon like this i wo uld use it to the best of my ability for raiding and exping and to take what is given to you and to play with what you have and work through the worst situation as most of these high end guilds show in bugged situations. this shows who are the good players and the bad players, who complain about the weapon/gear or the situation at hand, while the good players take whatever challenge at hand and fight through the tough times. I'm tired of hearing how an epic 2.0 sucks or how a high end weapon isn't appealing to the players who require more to play the game or be uber. I personally have played with people who i have been in one of the best exp group and had nothing more then ep gear at most but the know how of chian pulling and keeping the party alive and budgeting mana through hours of killing. Hoepfully this post filters some of the "OMG this class got screwed over again!" posts. If anything at least this post should help seperate the good from the bad players. I'm done ranting, and i'm ready for all the bad players to send me their hate replies now =p

WOW...this is nice!! The proc coulda been a wee better, but in all a great weapon.
By the way DREAMTHEIF...the DPS loss VIA weapon...we gain by our lvl 68 UBER PET, (which is a lvl 60 pet), new high dmg DoTs, and DPS matters only enough to keep the mob hitting your MEATSHEILD @$$!! Let the DPS classes do the dmg. As a TANK class you take the DMG.
If this is a problem proceed with following steps:
1) Log on to EQ
2) Select your shadowknight
3) Hit "Delete" button
4) Create a Rogue
5) Stop posting

He's talking about another CoA weapon that is paladin only ... "Blade of Forgotten Faith".
Sure, it's much better than this weapon, but it's a bit early to knight Morguecaller the equal of the paladin blade.
Even if it were, it is well known that SKs have much more DPS potential than paladins. Which may be the reason behind the trend of SK weapons < pallie weapons.
