Asylum of Anguish
Quest Name
Seal: Mastery of All (Raid)

Riftseekers' Sanctum
Quest Name
Access to Asylum of Anguish

Forms automatically after looting the sixth "pie wedge" from the final raid trial in Muramite Proving Grounds. Also lootable from certain raid encounters inside Anguish.

From the official forum :

Rondor said, Jun 16, 2016:

“The Asylum/Citadel of Anguish flag item "Seal: Mastery of All" now auto-destroys itself when you either loot it or take it out of your bank. This means it can no longer be kept in a "Bag of Flag Trophies" in the bank if you take it out of your bank and had it since before this patch, since the moment you take it out of your bank it poofs. Trying to loot a new one from a COA Boss Mob after that also results in it poofing roughly 1 second after it's on your cursor or lands in your bags.”

Reply from Prathun, Jun 20, 2016:

Flagging for Anguish has always been handled via bits (character flags) behind the scenes, while the pie piece items given out for completing the raid trials and the Seal of Mastery pie given upon completion of the raid trials or Anguish raid backflags were merely a visual indication of the character's progress.
As of the June update, Omens progression is now handled in the achievement system. Look under Omens of War -> Progression for details. This does make it difficult / impossible to save progression items as mementos, but we believe this is a cleaner implementation that is easier to understand, saves on clutter, and removes unnecessary complexity.

Easiest mob for gimp key

What's the easiest of the CoA mobs that drops a Seal: Mastery of all? I hear sometimes of aug runs, and am almost finished my signets, but is it feasible to get the Seal: Mastery of all on a non-progression sized raid?

They only dropped from the bosses not the minis with the augments. I have confirmed though that in addition to Anguish turning into a level 68 required zone to enter, you no longer need to loot the Seal to enable looting.

The moment you win your 6th Mastery Rune, a full Seal: Mastery of All forms automatically as described above.

Message as this happens is "You have demonstrated adeptness at all aspects of power that Mata'Muram holds dear. As you recieve the final medal, the six wedges you have collected fuse, point to point, creating a hexagonal seal. You now hold the key to the Citadel of Anguish"

If you had the runes from the trials in your bags, would they disapear from your bags or is it like the PoJ trials where you still have them but they serve no purpose once you have the key.

if you have them on you they will disappear, but if left in bank they will still be there, but can be destroyed once you have mastery of all.

It has been a while since I got the Mastery Rune but I noticed I onlt have 4 of the 6 trial runes in my bank. My guess is that I had one of them in a back pack I was wearing when the 6th was completed and there fore it is gone. The question is, is there any reason to keep the other 4 now that I have the Mastery?

They disappear (if you got them on your person).

They do not disappear when you win the 6th trial. All 5 of my other ones were in the bank and they still were in the bank when I won my 6th trial.

Each of these mobs drops one Seal on every kill.
85% rule??
# Dec 09 2004 at 9:05 PM Rating: Decent
How exactly does the 85% rule thing work? Do you have to have a set amount of people in the raid? If you have a raid of 7 people and 6 of them are flagged, will the 7th person who is unflagged get in?

Same as it works for PoP - if 85% of raid is flagged, rest can enter as well. Minimum number to get an Anguish expedition at all is 18 though...

Essentialy the 85% rule meens you can bring one gimp for every 5 flagged.

It works this was so that of a group of 6 players, only 5 need to be flagged/keyed to get in. EQ checks the 85% rule by the number of flagged people from the group or raid, and subtracts the number of unflagged group or raid members currently inside (the 'piggies'). In other words, if you are unflagged, the other 5 in your group are, then you must wait for all 5 to zone in before you will be able to. If for whatever reason one of them goes (zones out, dies, LDs, etc) you have a 2 minute (is that right?) grace period before you will be booted out of the zone.

This does work the same as the PoP ones. if you dont have the signet quest done thou, your visit to anguish will be very short. the zone wide AE will kill you in very short order. you dont have to complete the 6 MPG trials to enter but you DO need to do the signet quest to avoid the AE. once you loot the signet of all you are then flagged the same as those that have done the 6 mpg quests.

the signet quest isn't optional if you wish to enter Anguish and live thou.

Aye, Cenamen said it all, the AoE that is spoken of is strictly for sake of lore as far as I have noticed.

Just wanted to clear this up for any that might read this and be confused.

There is NO Zonewide AE in Anguish, none whatsoever.

If you have not done your signet turn in (all 7 combined to box to Taronami) you CANNOT enter anguish. Once you have all 7 signets handled and turned in, you can be 85-ed into Anguish.

No Signets = No Anguish
Trials (No Signets) = No Anguish
Signets = 85% Rule
Signets and Trials = Fully Flagged

Yep, works exactly like that - every raid mob in Anguish seems to drop a Seal.
People who just did the protection quest can zone in via 85% rule and loot their full access this way without redoing all six MPG trials.
