Why not? Would work great for a twink.

It also appears you are looking beyond the fact that it has no req or recommended level, so as a twink piece if you have the ability, full set o fcharged magnetic and this charm can go a long ways toward not only being able to lvl up in one set of gear, but being able to stay in that gear through til at least lvl 70. Those out there that twink now how spendy it gets to regear a twink at 55ish, then again at around 65, then again around 75, do this ride up to 75 and get a full set of warped steel or whatever your flavor is. If you are looking for a main, yes for the most part this isn;t practical. As far as rarity on lightning cores, find a new farm spot, they're not all that rare if you find a good spot and farm for hours.

Use a Lightning Core on WHAT?!?!?!?
# Jul 31 2005 at 4:12 PM Rating: Decent
Wow...very crappy

Either use the Lighting Core rare drop to charge a Magnetic piece of armor, or use it on this usesless POS.

Doing the Planar Progression, it does NOT take that much to exceed these stats. I know that some will say, but I am not in a raiding guild and cannot get flags... If that is the case, seriously consider using the core on another slot.

heres a cheap alternative. If your a pure caster, then all you need to do is max out your launguages and then get taintedheart stone. Around two times the stats +10 most stats as well as 75hp/mana. you can probally /ooc someone in the bazaar or pok and get someone to teach u launguages for mabye 100-1k each. Also theres stone of defiance, which when u have no food and it says you are hungry u gget the same stats as on trainted heart stone.

Charm selling for 30k on Luclin. Given the location of drops and trivial and rarity of the core....too expensive for such minor stats. Gratz again SOE on another completely worthless item to flood the market with.

Keep in mind people, this is FREE stats, there's hardly ever anything of use in the charm slot unless you've done 1000 adventures and have all the flags to max your intricate figurine. If you don't have anything better in there and you already have a bunch of magnetic armor and it drops, well then awesome.

It's a situational thing, every one of them is. You don't buy a charm because you want stats 100% of the time, you buy a charm because there'll be those extra stats during that rare instance.

That's a reason to hate charms though.

It's really more of a bonus for quirky (or not so quirky) situations.

*EDIT*: Also, yes, the tainted heartstone is usually a better idea than this (the option I vied for with my druid) but getting all languages up is a lengthy, tedious task. Some people are more apt to just buy this thing because they're twinking out with full magnetic anyways.
