one thing why go to all the trouble to kill this guy when you can kill the beast in the Deep for a better robe. and with AUGs turn the robe into a swwet item I have the AUG that a +25 to AC so why go for the heart ack on this guy the other yes but not this robe if it drop and you win wtg but I try the beast if I was you
I can only assume you're talking about the bile drenched robe from the burrower beast. If you are, then all I can say is....um....
If you think that robe from the deep is better than this one I just hope every other caster in my guild is like you when this thing drops. Unfortunately, I've never met a caster in all my years playing that would agree with you. What are you thinking???

Unlikely he was talking about the Fabled version, considering it didn't exist back in 2005 when that was posted.
And considering he goes on to talk about putting AC augs in a pure caster robe, I think it's pretty safe to say he just doesn't have a clue.

This is a pretty rare drop off him.
Think it is dependant on your guild. We've killed King about 12+ times and had 10+ robes, 2 shinai's, 1 glove, 1 mail, 1 tiara, 2 cloaks, 2 Maces, 2 earrings and a load of staffs.
Its just the luck of the draw
Personally dread doing King now because of the caster crap he almost always drops for us.
