Saw these popping up in bazzar now and then, mostly around 60k'ish. They disapear so guess they r selling. Late one night, (2 or 3 in the morning), Someone says in Gen. channel, WTS and the link for these. I ask "how much"? the reply 8k ! Only once in awhile I get that excited that I can't even manover my toon around items in the way ect., this was one of them times. My 63 Monk loves them, they seem to be tailor made for him.

These must be standard item for chests now, because we got a set after killing Faleniel of Darkwater in Siren's Grotto for my enchanter friend's epic 1.5 piece Ornate Staff Topper. Because ornate armor has no shoulder piece to complete the set, this will be a welcome upgrade to my gnome rogue Graylaw's equipment when he's level 60. (He's almost 55 now.)

Steel and Monks?

Since when can monks wear steel? This is the first steel item i've ever seen for monk class. Very odd.

There are a few such itmes floating around. Just one example I can think of at the moment are the Imbued Granit Spaulders, monk usable. First of all, they are made of STONE. Second, they weigh something like 20. Unless you have a serious problem with (or a fetish for) saves, no way a monk would wear them.

Jagged Stone-Inset Spaulders are "plate look" too (at least on the picture ;)) and weigth is only 0.2.

Won this baby on a roll and will upgrade my Jagged Stone-Inset Spaulders and I am still only 20 in weigth.

Chest drop in Barindu after killing Viarglug.
