Hey SheVup, u might just be the dummbest person on this fourm, talkn bout how chanters dont need HP, listen bud, ANY casters need HP, and to say otherwise shows ur either a newb or a ebayr.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people comment on Enchanters in these forums, clearly without having ever taken one to any respectable level. To suggest that HP is the most important statistic to an Enchanter is well, silly, to put it a nice way. Its not going to matter much whether you have 2100 hp or 2200 hp if you've got mobs beating on you at high levels. Most mobs above 50 will max hit over 100, usually doubling or quadding you. Damage avoidance is far superior over damage mitigation as Enchanters have so few HP. Sacrificing Cha or Int for HP is a waste of a slot, particularly when you have the Rune series. A good healer within a group will see the 'magical skin absorbs the blow' message and IMMEDIATELY start casting a heal, because it wont be long before the rune is gone. In short, even with 50% more HP, Enchanters will still go down fast as we have so little AC. High Cha will make your stuns and mezzes more effective and high Int will let you do them for a longer time - until your friendly tank regains taunt.

So very true. Much better to avoid the damage than to mitigate it. However, for folks who lack those AA's . . . HP is where it's at. I have 730 HP from items equipped. I've also got my INT maxed at 280 (haven't trained the AAs to take it higher yet). I can get to 4300 buffed up . . . 5800 if you count the rune and, 6245 if I have Uproar as well. That makes an Enormous amount of difference if a Kriger is whalloping me when slow resists and the tank doesn't have good aggro. Or if mez is resisting, broken early or wears off. It buys me that much more time to get another mez off. It also buys time if you're being beat upon and your mez is being interrupted. At lvl 65 there aren't many mobs you'll be fighting that are going to be affected by your stuns unless you've gone thru Ruj and gotten Color Cloud.
Aside from all that . . . I am sometimes elected puller. Those extra HP are a blessing at those times. Chanters can really rock as pullers. Just, please, keep the animation in the box if you're pulling.
I realize not all chanters reading this and looking at these boots are Lvl 65 because by that time we've moved on to higher lvl gear. But, I'm still wearing most of my SS armor. Robe, head, feet, wrist. Our next real upgrade is either LDoN items or Ornate. You can take a peek at my Magelo to get some ideas as to what Ornate is like. http://www.magelo.com/eq_view_profile.html?num=646519&resize=true
I am by no means equipped to the hilt but I've worked hard for what I've gotten and I'm pretty proud of how I've brought this little Chanter along. The fourth bag contains some items which I switch out when needed. There are a pair of LDoN leggings in there which I augmented with an FT 1 item from Takish. The FT item was about 350 points and the pants about 460 I think. Not a bad deal considering FT items sell in the Bazaar for extreme amounts of plat! The thing I need to work on is CHA /blush It's deplorable for a chanter, hehe. I didn't charm much while growing up so I didn't work on it. I'm finding I'm charming a bit more at the higher levels as I get more comfortable with it. Yet another thing your HP are going to be invaluable for. Charm. A lvl 60 mob who breaks charm is going to be a Wee bit upset with You, not that pally beating on his friend. And you're going to have to mez it and bring it back under control before it sends you to the nether regions. /wink
Well I have a Lvl60 Enchanter and agree on the importance of HP. With KEI I have no problem keeping my INT above 255, so then I move on to direct mana items and direct and indirect HP items. I wear my Resplendent slippers in HoT for a few more points of resistance and will be wearing these once I get faction up high enough again to hand them in. CHA has no effect on mezz from all I've read, so I only worry about that except for charming which I dont do that often. I have 400 HP from direct HP and STA items - nice to have! I have Coldain Skin Boots but dont need the INT there at the moment. Mana (inc INT) > HP, but HP very important.
These shoes are the best out of any Velious quest or the PoG gear. Unless you're still hurting for int (Which, at 50+ I hope you aren't) these give the best cha and stats out of all of 'em. They're definately some of the better 'chanter shoes out there. And I love the idea of not memming invis, especially since the invis from these shoes seems more reliable than the spell.
Actually, the 3 to all saves is very good for people who are unable to acquire better foot gear in very high end raids. I traded out my loam encrusted boots for these just because of the resists. Dallas FanFaire stated that cha has little effect in charming and no effect in mezzing.
in that case why not just get the coldain skin boots good ac 9 int and 35 mana theres more stats but thats the important stuff. imho the coldain are better. the only reason i would use these is for the free invis while hunting giants.
until you get something like coldain skin 30hp isnt exactly weak for an enchanter foot item. unless your current setup calls for int feet in which case I would understand where you are coming from.
nope.. not instant.. just like you're casting invis on yourself... kinda nice I think... for those enchanters out there that charm a lot.. no flipping through the book to get invis loaded, then casted to break the charm.. now, just right click... kinda blows that you have to have it equipped :( stats arnt that great
