Not instant

FYI, Casting time is 1 second now, NOT instant like focus items.
Why

Ok 56th Mage here. Two things first be the time you are in a position to get these trinkets odds are you have been to hate a few times. Ok you say its better than the mage armor from there. I will yield that point because I have never seen those, however you go to hate there is the chance of coming away with Blue Diamons. These blow this out of the water hands down. Velous Blue Diamond Braclets have some of if not the best saves in the game. Second 9 times out of 10 when I have a pet and leave the zone guess what, I don't have time to sit around reclaiming anything. I am just happy to get the gate off or be part of the mass party bail. So the clickable effect is way down on the list of usefull things to do. On a side note the mana used for summoning a pet at 56th level is rather trival compared to some of the nukes or lost exp from death.
#Anonymous, Posted: Apr 25 2001 at 2:05 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hmm, now I don't have to use one of my 4 3.5 weight focus weapons I carry to cast reclaim energy. And the stats, way better than my bracer of woven grass. Some of this stuff is great, but considering how rare and hard it is to get it, I think i'll just sell the gems I find and buy some other stuff. 1 save vs this and that isn't worth it.

consider this list...its one of the best armor combo's i've found.

What are Turmoil Warts?
#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 10 2001 at 10:21 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wizards on their bracer have Chill Sight, their level 39 Ultravision spell.
Nice Look

This wrist defanetly has a nice look to it, and im all about the fashion. When your trying to complete the full Arch Mage set, the new white armor looks incredible. This bracer is white (on my high elf), with a yellow streak on the side of it. Matched with the gloves and sleeves, my arms look awsome (i dont wear a robe anymore, i have a shardworm skin on (leather look), so these pieces really shine out on me.

This should probably be on a board instead but who cares.-

"Yawn" very true. For Quellious' sake Sense Summoned would be a better spell than this!

What else is there that would be better? A dd of course but it doesn't look like they want to power up mages with this item (like BOIII on the pantaloons - a spell gem free is quite nice).
Maybe *gasp* some spells from another class?

Mages actualy do have clickable dd items in game hehe they just are not comon burnt wood staff for one is a clickable 333 dd cinderbolt (12 cast time) but unlimited and handy and those dreemy boots of blade caling as well, things are out there if you look hehe

spell Gems free... good.. very very good. Take a look at some of the Wis casters gear. a mid level DoT for Druids, a SoW, a word of health for clerics, shammies get ultravision, extinguish fatigue.. we get the same thing thats on 99% of all mage only items with effects.

Look at the Wizzies bracer. Chill Sight, thats thier UV spell IIRC. why not Summon: Coldstone?

Yay, another mage item with Effect: Reclaim Energy... *yawn

why would we get a bracer that cast ds or burnout when our robe cast ds and legs cast burnout, this frees a spot and i dont use or carry any of my focus items around anymore nor do i have the mastery staffs. This is an upgrade to apothic with a usefull effect...
It has a casting time too
# Jan 09 2001 at 12:54 PM Rating: Default
No kidding, it takes around 3 Seconds...You ArchMage Warband begins to glow...funny my focus stuff dont require casting time..i think it was tooooo powerful afterall lol :-)
RE: It has a casting time too
# Mar 13 2001 at 9:46 AM Rating: Default
Ok, then i think it must be the same efect as the harnessed soul gem from Tserinna. It is not the regular reclaim energy. This one has a long casting time (it is 8 seconds for Harnessed soul gem, so i doubt it's only 3 secs for this one). But it gives back all the mana you used to cast your pet. Actullay, if speced in conj, it will give you more mana from time to time ;).

Kael

its Better than Appothetic
# Jan 09 2001 at 4:25 AM Rating: Default
This item isnt so bad it is at least better than the Appothetic warband perhaps the Reclaim energy is focus for Monster summoning series by the time you can get this bracer you have over 200 int any ways so its no big deal extra saves and mana hp add up.

Others easier things are better

The PBB is better than this and it drops off of level 24 mobs. Reclaim energy?!?!? Who actually uses that stinking spell? Chalk up one item magicians won't be getting. Heh. I wonder if they track how many of these things get put out. They will see 4 of them done after 6 months. hee
RE: Others easier things are better
# Jan 10 2001 at 3:55 PM Rating: Default
obviously you have never played a mage... and a PBB is not better than this. it may add one more int point, but when you get to the higher levels and you have int on everything.... you start to look for items that give hps/mana/ac, etc. And I don't think there isn't a mage who hasn't used reclaim energy over and over again to get that better pet. unless they didn't care about losing mana.
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 11 2001 at 6:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Bwwwaaahaahaaaa!!!
RE: Others easier things are better
# Jan 13 2001 at 2:55 PM Rating: Default
btw this item drops in pog also, its made to be used with the full set of armor. That way all the resists and hp/mana add up, and trust if you play a mage your not a good one if you never use reclaim energy.
RE: Others easier things are better
# Jan 19 2001 at 2:46 PM Rating: Decent
yeah I was going to add... whoever would rather use a PBB.. you can have both of mine in exchange for this.. :) Those sv points start to add up, and especially in velious, mean a lot more than a int point, which is fairly easy to increase I would rather have this anyday, and I do use reclaim quite often, even tho it sucks that it doesnt actually restore all the mana you use to summon a pet but not a major loss.

While I agree the PBB is not better it is still rather pathetic that we are geting the same old effect as ever. Most of the items mages get with porcs are either Reclaim Energy, BO3, or a DS. While I am not complaining about the last 2 the first one is on our Focus items which every mage with any brain uses at all times, or at least has it with them for when they are summoning. To that guy who said earlier that he no longer carries his FI's because of this is, to be quite blunt, an idiot. The focus items are excellant for when a mage is doing a form of ALtered Chain summoning with a Druid or other rooter partner,(say druid since that is the class I normally do it with). Anyhow, jsut wanting to sya this is a pathetic proc, might as well have left it blank of procs imho.

Does this shock you??? It's either Reclaim Energy or we can cast Burnout III... woo what will they think of next..??
:)
RE: More reclaim energy
# Feb 12 2001 at 6:56 AM Rating: Default
When you consider that +1 int at level 50 = +10 mana, these have the same int rating as PBB, and are actually better at lower levels. The other stats make them well worth seeking out
