I got this the other night off rathe for 7k gave it my 65 bst with ferocity beastly fury and 314 str i hit for a min of 242 and crited 570. I love this weapon makes me happy i got it. I never was much for 2 handed blunt weapons on beastlords but this weapon kicks a$$. Looks like the stick from the movie walking tall. Not the Rock crappy version the orginal version. Cook this rock!!!!
Pasquinell Icewulf 65 Beastlord.
Bit my shiney metal a$$.
i have this

This is what my monk curently uses at lvl 65 and only 9AAs, yah i hit hard but not to often....well this is where my 23k worth of tribute points can go towards my 41% haste at only 37points to activate it. So i like it but there are better ones out there
DPS

Has anyone compared the DPS output of this to Stave of the Eternal? I am eager to see if I wasted my money buying a weapon for my monk...
rather nice

I have a greatstaff of four winds, but I saw this in bazaar and purchased one without thinking. It hits hard but the staff of four winds gives a better dps ratio. It's pretty easy to get if you're in a guild. In the meantime if you can't I would definately get this one.
Great Weapon!!

I was fortunate to pick this up in the bazaar for all of 6k. I spent a quarter again (!!) to remove the life tap aug from my SOFW and pace it on this baby. I have to say, its an awesome weapon for me (65 mnk).. with it I managed to crit hit for 1044 with disc inner flame and both procs proc very regularly. My SOFW is now been relegated to the bank until I decide what to do with it :P
If you are trying decide whether this is worth getting, it is finally one that I can completely recommend!!! My guess it wont last long, on my server (Quellious) there are usually around 6 or more for sale at any one time (the cheapest I have seen is 3k up to around 35k). I would expect the drop rate to become more rare soon.
Whatever your weapon of choice, happy hunting!!

Just picked this up last night in bazzar for 4k on Veeshan. Just to play with in the arena with my roomate. Getting drunk and seeing how hard we can hit with it. (2 Bsts naked and drunk no buffs) My top hit was 312. Fun lil toy.

I'm almost positive the Scuttling Darkrat does not drop this item. His drops are the range item (common) and the earring (rare) whereas the bat drops the mask (common) and this item (rare.) Additionally they both can drop the 3 tradable runes. I've yet to find a mob that drops runes that doesn't at least drop the first 3.

What is the graphic on this?
RE: graphic
# Nov 02 2004 at 1:46 PM Rating: Decent
The graphics are a staff with what looks like flute holes at each end. This staff is cheap on Saryn. Sells for about 500pp.

did you leave a zero or two off of your price or did you meant to put 500?

Big wooden staff, with carvings on both ends. Nothing like walking tall with a big stick, got this last night. =)
Thanks Invictus

Excellent weapon

This is an excellent 2hb. Perfect for a solo monk/beastlord or a duo tanking monk/beastlord. I have to give examples from my beastlord as I don't have a monk.

At 1400 atk this staff parses out at 53.93dps for a level 65 beastlord with 1 level of BF.

compare that to dual wielding VIC with 17/20 ratio parsing at 58.96dps.

The extra ac and inherent damage mitigation from the high delay (reduced ripost damage) makes this weapon, IMO, the premier DROPPABLE choice for a tanking/duo beastlord. A much better choice for soloing than the best droppable dual wield setup (VIC).

This outparses the SOFW by roughly 1 dps, but with the higher delay, hps, ac and stats, this staff blows the SOFW out of the water in terms of tanking ability.

I duo all the time with either my cleric or druid as a healer for my beastlord.

Congratulations to the lucky monk or beastlord that picks one of these up.

I must say I'm surprised this outparses GSOFW. I thought the rough formula for comparing weapons was [2(wep dmg)+(dmg bonus)]/(delay). Well, I guess with 25 dmg difference in the proc, with WA5 I guess they proc ~3 times a minute, so that's 1.25 dps difference in procs. Still surprising, would love to see the parsing data if that's possible.

This may be pointless to point out a year after the fact, but he did not say this outparsed GSOFW(greatstaff of four winds), he is talking about SOFW(staff of flowing water)

parsed a monk friend at 115 or so with this and only 1 lvl of the 2hb aa

monk & beastlords are on different damage tables, and my parse is with only one level of beastlord double attack aa.
