I just looted this off Korbukk Splitpaw in Southern Karana, not inside Paw. He spawned right after the High Shaman.
This item is now called Large Ruby
it has the same stats , and nothing else has changed

As of this date, this item is still called a "Ruby Pendant" - I just looted it from 'Kurrpok Splitpaw' in Splitpaw Lair about ten minutes ago (06-06-2003, 06:40 EST).
The "Large Ruby" (used in the same quest) can be found here:

Kurrpok spawned where the 'Verishe Mal Executioner' stands, almost immediately after I killed the executioner (I also killed all three 'Varishe Mal Judges' in the room, but one was still alive when Kurrpok spawned). Kurrpok alsp dropped a common 8-slot backpack.
