Not the same as pacify

Apparenly this spell is not the same as Pacify, which reduced agro radius. This spell instead reduces assist radius.

Agro radius reduced would, for example allow you to stroll past the mob, and also pull it's buddy from beside it without bringing both.

Assist radius will do the latter, i.e allow you to pull away a buddy w/o agro. Unfortunately you would still agro it if you went inside its normal agro radius.
efficiency?

Anyone else getting a lot of agro from 'placate'd mobs?

Pacification was a miracle worker.

This spell takes effect (says so) but has no effect WAY TOO often

I've had similar problems, but after using this spell and dulcify more , they have become easier to use. the trick is to pull and placate/dulcify from a distance, because if you get too close the mobs will still aggro. also.. if you were to pull a monster in such a way that it steps on a placated mob, it will aggro that mob (so always pull the mob that is in the front first)

It seems that enchanters also get this spell, at level 67.
