I had this drop yesterday from an ukun slaughterhound in The Bloodfields. I see that the slaughterhounds are listed as only dropping this in Dranik's Scar, but I definitly got one in the Bloodfields off one.
... off An Ukun Deathhowler. Today I got three for three
Also drops off an ikaav chimeran (5/15/2010) in Bloodfields.

Had 2 drop of a noc darklurch in Bloodfields and the rest off noc fleshletter's today and I have gotten 5 so far in 20 min of killing here

Drops off a kyv, in DS as well, easiest to hunt for it that I have found is on the ampitheater near Ukun Slavehunter. Only Kyvs and Kyv heartpiers spawn there.

Had one drop off one of the discordling type mobs in Harbinger's tonight.
Please disregard, I was mistaken. Believe it fell off the one ukun mob I killed on my way to Harbinger's. Sorry!

I now have 4 parchments off yard trash near POD and 4 hours fighting to get 2 shards.Seem to be random off any yard trash in the area of NC entry
just looted one of an ukun slaughterhound near the pod camps...
Around -800, +550 there are 5 or 6 "a Kyv" and "a Kyv Heartpiercer" spawn points.
On the SW most one, I got an add, I think from below the ledge so maybe a wanderer, didn't have time to confirm. The rest were very easy single pulls from the South wall. About my 3rd kill here got me a Discordant Crystal Shard, and that was from "a Kyv".
Spawn time seems to be 19 minutes, maybe 19 and a half minutes.

Dropped from a Kyv Heartpiercer in DS finally today. These things are *rare* (or I'm damned unlucky). Have 7 parchments to my 1 crystal after 5 hours hunting there with a 65 wiz. Bah.

I've gotten 2 shards from static noc spawns in Dranik's Scar beside the ramp near the zone-in to Noble's Causeway.

I got all 3 of mine off of the Ukun type mobs. 2 of them in the back by the zone to Bloodfields.

What mobs have been dropping the shards? I killed random stuff for a couple hours and didn't see a single shard.
which is funny since it was written that the shards are more common then the parchment. I have the parchment and 2 shards. I have been killing these guys like mad and still no more drops. :/

If you follow the text from the PoDs about travelling to discord, they tell you that if you are a master of travel (a wizard or druid) that they will give you the power.
You need 3 of these and some kind of parchment. I'll try to get the exact text later on.
If someone knows where the parchment drops or is sold, that would help A LOT!

The parchment drops in the same zone and is a much more common drop than the crystals.
