If you are a low level Iksar and can't get a port to nexus, you don't really have much choice but to make one if no other weapon upgrades are available in the zones you can survive in. That's the only way I would pay the money to make one of these.
They really should put a wizzy spire in a zone that Iksars not able to survive DL can go to to get ported.

For the plat you have to pay to make one of these blades you can buy a better weapon like a Netherbian Unguis easily. The skyiron is just too expensive.
Yeah, but an Unguis doesn't look NEARLY as cool as a Shan'Tok.
Sure, if it's style before comfort for you, then this is surely the right thing for you. It might be interested roleplaying a dedicated Iksar in only cultural armor and weapons.
