Dropped for us last night, first time in about 20-25 emp kills. Cleric had to be talked into bidding because he wasn't sure it stacked with everything.

Our guild Raided 4/30/04, and it drop I purchase for 700 guild raid points. Mana regen's for 5 per tick. Stacks with everything so far as I know. Drood I am, its nice addition to the 6 mana regen Mask of the Stalker provides. Robe dropped about 2 weeks earlier, and I think a Ench in our guild bid on that one. At the moment, static FT Items add up to regen 6 mana per tick.

We had 2 of them drop tonight March 31 2004 on the Tunare Server. A druid and Myself were the lucky winners =)
Stacking
# Jan 12 2004 at 1:20 AM Rating: Decent
is there anything that this does not stack with?
RE: Stacking
# Jan 18 2004 at 8:19 AM Rating: Excellent
Yes there are 4 spells it doesn't stack with, theyu are all off of items, so it stacks with every other castable spellout there.

Now to ecjucate you one how to fingd this information out for your self next time.

See at the top where it says "Shawl of Awakenings Lucy's Entry"???? Click on Lucy's Entry.

Now click on the spell efect. this opens a new page with all the spel information. At the top it says "Detail | History | Stacking | Raw Data" Click on the one that says "Stacking" Everything on that page eather Blocks or is blocked by this spell. To figure out witch, read there spell information.

bah, again with the childish messages of "this class get is more" "this class doesnt deserve this".. blah blah blah blah blah. quit your crying. druids WILL see this, shammys WILL see this.. clerics WILL LOSE this item to a druid or shammy. quit assuming what a guild will do, who will get this, and who will get denied, and keep dreaming youll have this equiped some day.
Nice!

FT cap
# Jan 12 2003 at 9:55 AM Rating: Decent
Once you've reached Flowing Thought cap, does the mana regen (5 per tick) of the effect put you 5 over the FT cap, please?

Regards,

Laiderone ~ loaded, please wait...
RE: FT cap
# Jun 13 2003 at 11:13 PM Rating: Excellent
This is a buff, along the lines of the Beastlord Spiritual Domination series, so it stacks with FT. I consider it the best shoulder in game.
RE: FT cap
# Jan 30 2003 at 5:01 PM Rating: Decent
From everything that I've read about FT I would have to say yes. It will give you 5 more per tick even with FT items. However, from what I've read, there is NO cap on FT items now. You can get as many as you can get and they will all stack and you will still get 5 more mana per tick with this item.

FT is capped at 15, you can have as much as you want of it all over you, even if it's 1 point on every part of your body, and it's still capped at 15. However, KHF does stack with it, so if you have 17 FT and KHF you get 15 + 5 = 20 mana/tick.

Add that to the cap of 20 mana/tick from meditating/riding, 18 from KEI3 aka VoQ, 9 from bst crack, 8 from druid pot9, and AA MC3, and you get 78 (?). As a druid I can get a maximum of 4 more from self-only buffs makign a nice max of 82, I can handle that :)
RE: FT cap
# Aug 16 2003 at 8:29 PM Rating: Decent
FT15 = 15
KHF = 5
VoQ = 18
Bot9 = 8
SD = 9
MC3 = 3

Grand total = 58 mana / tick

But I'm not flaming, just correcting the math. My question is, does the "Aura" effects on a lot of PoP items stack with this total? Some of them have some mana regen don't they?
RE: FT cap
# Apr 23 2004 at 2:30 PM Rating: Good
You left off WoM (bard song Wind of Marr) which adds 21 mana per tick. And Mind and Body Rejuvanation which adds another one.

Diepen's math was correct. If you reread the post you'll see Diepen added in the mana regen from medding; that's where the 78 came from:

20 + 58 = 78

However, if you wanted to be picky you could debate the 20 mana/tick from med. Other sites have placed it as high as 25/tick. Haven't bothered to test it myself, so not quite sure which is accurate.
RE: FT cap
# Dec 22 2003 at 2:59 PM Rating: Default
Actually, I think Bigmercury's math included the 20 from medding. Here's the way I understand it to work. all "worn" mana regen is capped at 15 and all "triggered" mana regen does not fit into that cap but can have stacking issues with other buffs.
Point System and Such
# Nov 30 2002 at 4:56 AM Rating: Decent
Well, the point system is ok, When it's used right. Problem is that alot of Guilds leaders abuse the system outright on Droppable gear and award it to the "Guild Bank". This happen's some times on stuff that people really need, but mostly on stuff that people could definately use. Lets say to sell so they can buy Spells, Armor, ect. Im in a Guild where we easily pull in 10K to 30K of sellable stuff per Raid. So where does this stuff go? The Guild Bank (The upper Guild Leadership) to do with what they want. Sell, Twink, ect. I have no problem with that but Im 61 and in dire need of some Spells that would increase my effectiveness on raids. I get to talking to the Guild leader about it and he says that the Guild will "Loan" me the Money. Now, it seems to me that the "Guild" wouldnt have that money to control if it werent for the Members doing the Raiding. Also, we Raid 3 to 4 times a week, constantly increasing the amount of PP in the Bank and to the best of my Knowledge it hasnt been used to help anyone upgrade their Armor, Spellbook, ect. But the Guild Leader sure does have some Nice armor and a pretty awsome Twink. What's up with that? Seems to me that in quite a few of these Guilds, were just working so one or two people can have some Nifty Items and alot of platt in the Bank. I also brought this up to the Guilds only Officer who also happens to be his Wife, her reply? "Be Lucky that I can raid and have a chance at drops and quit complaining". Needless to say, Im looking for another Guild. It seems to me that alot of stuff that isnt absolutely needed by a Member should be randomed off to the players.

Oh and btw Apallohadas, after reading how the DKP and Tier system works from the link in Taraddar's post....Well, the player with the most time and effort doesnt always get the loot. If you read the Rules, alot of it is "In Theory" Seems to me that Looting got alot more complicated than it needed to be. Seems like a bunch of Lawyers got involved in looting, or just Idiots pretending to be Lawyers. What ever happened to Need before Greed, random 100 and Alpha loot in groups? I was forced to roll against a 55 Warrior Yesterday for a Parchment in PoN. And I'm a 61 Caster. And now everytime you have a group theres a Master looter! Or in most cases a Master Ripoff. I was told that the need for a ML was to take care of Ninja Looters. I have some bad news for you, it doesnt work. You know what takes care of Ninja Looters? Persicution and Isolation. The Fun is definately gone. People started taking the "game" way too seriously. I guess people that have no Life, need a Life too. The problem is that these people who take the game so vitally serious, and hold there virtual items so close and dear to there empty and cold hearts because Everquest is the only thing they have in the World to hold on too, have made the game that serious for the rest of us. It just isnt fun to play anymore.
RE: Point System and Such
# Dec 26 2002 at 2:57 AM Rating: Decent
Obviously players made this system because they were annoyed with earlier failings. Flashback to pre-kunark:

Raid on Nagafen. Buncha players go for him, right? Huge raid! They go into the lair of the badass level 55(!) dragon, and kill it to take his phat lewtz. A cloak of flames drops. No Merit/DKP/NBG here. The crowd holds their breath while people roll:

Tank who needs it want will always use it: 27
Druid who later Ebays it: 99

Druid takes the loot, and the raid effort is turned into a bunch of people ebaying and selling for cash everything on raid. Loot goes to people who weren't even there. There's a few things that count for loot distribution:
1) Person's effort
2) Use of item to person
3) Use of item to guild

It's 1am so I am not thinking of more atm. DKP and Merit are two more leading systems. To the guy I'm replying to: your guild has pretty corrupted officers that are idiots and you should find a good guild. DKP works well on guilds that aren't past TOV. I personally am past Ntov, but HOT is a fun thing for 10 or so people to do when doze is up for HOT.

DKP has some issues:
1: people can overload on such DKP that they only raid when they have something to get
2: seniority rule can cause some members to get so fed up that they leave because they absolutely cannot get anything
3: forced rotting of items. any officers who force a wanted item to rot should be rounded up and shot repeatedly until they are dead. the point of a raid is to get items- not rot them. too many stupid leaders have forgotten that point systems are here to divide loot.
4: gets in the way of stacking MTs.

Merit gives leaders a lot more leeway in their decisions. IE a cleric might be given 2-3 times as much as a magician because their equip effects the guild more. For many, a guild is more of a hassle than a boon. Some guilds have required levels just to tag along, then must be recommended + AAs to join, and don't forget that you must solidly raid for 3 months to join. That gets you in-- then youre in for it if the officers are total idiots. I recall a member of a bad guild on this server telling me that their leader had threatened virtually every member of the guild for something or another. When the server was new(this is kane bayle), a member was kicked from them for having stood in front of Venril Sathir who was not tanking. Imo killing VS with mroe than 7 people is a joke, taking 50 is ridiculous, kicking someone for being unenlightened is awful(moved after told), but they also wiped!

Fortunately I am a guild with a smarter/nicer leadership that does their job well. Guilds vary and are different. Find one that suits you. If you want a guild with /rand loot, I suggest you look for one with membership mostly 20-30 in level. Many guilds have different memberships, leadership, and temperment. Some are hardcore and raid from noon to 7(or 9)am then sleep for 4 hours and do it over again. Find a good one - not necessarily the best - you do not need to be in FOH to have fun in eq.

RE: Point System and Such
# Dec 04 2002 at 2:18 PM Rating: Decent
I'm slightly confused as to why you're complaining to me about how a pickup group ripped you off sir.

I will however, agree that looting on raids is and deserves to be complicated. (Even if you think that makes uberguilds idiots for making it such.)

If you put in 20x the amount of hours and effort into the guild than someone who has been a member for 3 weeks and plays once per week, do you want an item like this determined by a /ran 1 1000?

Oh, it sucks that you had to roll against a warrior for a parchment, but I find it best to know the looting rules before something like that drops. If I don't like the rules, I leave. Best to stick with guild groups that are looking out for the guild's best interest imo.

Who the hell said I was complaining to You? I wouldn't give myself that much credit if I were you, and after reading your post, I'm thankful I'm not.

Take control of your brain cells and at least make a feable attempt to understand the post before you comment on it. What you said made absolutely no sence what so ever. Do you make this stuff up or something?

As far as YOU being confused? Man, I don't think my Post had anything to do with that....check your Family history!

I understand how you failed to comprehend what I said in my last post. In the future, I'll try to dig up my "four letters or less" coding machine for you.

But until then, it's obvious you failed to read my post. Glancing through things is typical now a days. Not going to bother responding to your flames. Forum tough guys aren't worth it. But I will say to "Read it again."

DKP is the most efficient method of rewarding involvement... it isn't, however, the best way to equip your MTs asap and entrenches itself in problems as time passes.

Sadly no druid or shaman will EVER see this item. Just ain't gonna happen.
RE: OMFG
# Jul 16 2002 at 11:34 AM Rating: Decent
Or you can see that this has 12sta and 110hp. On a 60 Shammy that's prolly over 150hp on this item. More HP=More mana for shammy. I could see many shammy wanting this. More mana regen and more HP to canni off.
RE: OMFG
# May 19 2003 at 6:14 PM Rating: Default
the reason he said no druid or shaman will see this item is not due to lack of wanting it... more due to the fact that it will be awarded to clerics first and foremost

when it comes to FT items it sems to go

RE: OMFG
# Jul 15 2002 at 11:21 PM Rating: Good
And why is that? Especially if a guild is on a point system. Just because a shaman can canni, doesn't mean he/she don't want any other type of mana regen. Any passive mana regen+canni= lots more mana to get buffs, heals, debuffs in.

Pressing canni over and over hurts the wrist y'know.
