i actually started this quest well over a year ago, not as anything i was doing full time, but keeping an eye out for the drops i needed ect, i hit a point where i had 20 items parked in the bank and decided to actually 'start' it.

it is a time sink quest, however spreading it out and doing it when nothing else viable presents itself made it somewhat fun

and as someone else in here stated pick your poisen, if you do not have the patience to learn, figgure things out, reserch, die multiple times trying to get these things then maybe this is not something for you :)

Not too bad, but is it worth the risk/time? Not a flame, just wondering what you think...

Here's my perspective:

First off, it's going to depend on the type of person that you are. For example, I hate beginning a major quest and not finishing it. So, I'm not beginning epic 1.5 quite yet nor BiC. I began Planar Progression in an alliance wanting Sol Ro Tower, and now my sights are set on Time.

Secondly, consider your guild, it's future, and your dedication to it. Can your guild do these kinds of things? Is it likely to try? Are you in this guild just to be there and will leave, amiably, when you outgrow it, or is this a place you never want to leave?

You need to consider all these answers before you decided to do the quest.

With the level of time and effort itt akes to complete this quest, on most servers you are not going to accomplish this as an independent. Some of the lower end encounters it may be feasible, but as it progresses you will be with a high end raiding force on your server. Most likely your previously Time equipped guilds. As they move over to GoD and begin working on that, they will tackle this quest as well.

So, considering this, yes, collecting the few drops you need from the various XP zones is more than worth the amazing stats on these augments. With Time/GoD breastplates having 300hp a 170hp aug not makes it 470hp. The augments are a large part of why GoD has progressed beyond Time equipment. Time drops gear on par, for the most part, with GoD. But GoD has insane qugments (100hp or more) to back it up as well.

Sorry for the book, but in my opinion, if you have the force readily available to assist you with the larger scale encounters, the farming necesary for this is trivial compared to thre reward. Drops are often dropped in XP zones and are relatively common. Many hand ins for bridge quest points can be done solo by most classes.

The first 8 steps can be done by an elementally enabled guid. And the stats for just that portion are definitely worth it. The first 5 steps also happen to be the most difficult and time consuming steps.

Beyond that you will need a Time capable guild. However, very little effort is involved in gathering the peices since most of the bits you need drop off mob your guild will be killing as soon as they can once they have access to the zones in question.
