To be honest...when I read "whines" or "flames" the reason why "parents want quiet" not justice becomes crystal clear...

So keep on whining, and keep on flamming, in the end it really means nothing because it's all just a game anyway LoL.

If one raids they get better items than those who group or TS, it's simple and it is just; but it may not be "fair".
Obtained this finally!

I just got this dagger tonight, and I'm super happy with it. Mine is augmented with a Eye of the Onyx Guardian making it a 26 DMG +1 Disease DMG dagger, or effectively a 27 DMG dagger if the mob doesn't resist the disease damage. It's been a very long time since I first saw that dagger and dreamed of getting it. Hard work and way too much time raiding has paid off. My advice for any rogues that want it, is to get in a guild that is doing what you want to be doing and go get it. Just don't kid yourself about the level of commitment. The raiding needed to get to this is insane. If you don't enjoy raiding, then forget it. If you love raiding, find a guild that is doing GoD. It's fun. Sure there is Omens of War and Dragons of Norrath stuff to do now too, but GoD is still a big challenge. Some of the raids make you want to pull your hair out, but as soon as the strategy is mastered, they are fun.

I know plenty of time geared characters who have fulltime jobs and families. If you want the dagger, go get it. Crying and giving us reasons why you don't have it isn't going to make it easier to get. And if you flat out can't...well...life goes on.

Having said that. Let's try to stay on subject.

2.0 epics were said to be the *best* weapons for it's class owner available in the game. If this (obviously the ultimate rogue primary in-game pre epic 2.0 known so far) What will our 2.0 be? 27/20? 30/23? Hmm...

Very well put Byrkann.

- Yibbish, 3.5 hours a day x 4 days a week is a lot of time when you have a job and a family. It would mean you would get home about 6PM play till about 10PM then it's time for bed if your serious about keeping your job to support your family - no time for anything else!

I have been on rais where buffing alone, and planning, has taken 3 hours before the wipes.

Sadly, as with most of the new items I see here, I will only be able to imagine. If only I were single and un-employed...
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 23 2004 at 10:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) how narrow of you to think most of high end guild players are just that :)

I think your not understanding the intent of the post

work average ..................50hours a week
sleep average..................56hours a week
Family till daughters
bedtimes at 8pm................42hours a week(min)
House duties ie. dishes,laundry,
cooking, mowing lawn, shopping
average 2 hours a day (X 7 days) 14 hours a week

Total 162 hours a week from 168 hours that are in a week leaves a total of 6 hours extra time.

sooo..if I were single and un-employed Id have time to accumulate the merit points nessesary to bid on the very nice new items.

So its not a matter of respect more like responsibility and that does make me feel good!

The really funny part about this whole thread is that the guy who posted the single and unemployed comment doesn't even play a rogue, and therefore would have no use for this.

But, with regard to his comment. I work full time, am married, have 2 kids, take tae kwon do classes 2-3 times a week, have a 1 acre yard (so I'm doing my fair share of yardwork), and am a member of a guild that is currently working on defeating Inktu'ta, a couple zones shy of where this drops.

Yes, raids take several hours at times. However, any raid that takes 3 hours to buff and setup, is probably a pickup raid, or involves inexperienced raiders. When our raids are scheduled to start, we're expected to be there, or they start without us. If we can catch up, great. If not, tough beans. We usually buff for 10 minutes prior to start. Not three hours.

Now, if raiding is not fun to you, then no, you won't be likely to ever see one of these, except on someone else's toon.

The reason people get upset with comments like his, is that the whole "I cannot get this because I have a life" argument is really saying "if YOU can get this, you have no life, and are probably single and unemployed (and living in granny's basement)".

Those of us who do participate in raids know that could not be further from the truth. The guild I am in is 18+, no kiddies in it. Most of the members are employed full time. A lot have kids. The GUILD raids 5 nights a week. Individual members raid anywhere from 2-5 days a week, as their schedule allows.

Heh.. do you realize how much time it takes out of your life to play every day for 5+hours?(alot of people that high up play 10+..) Well lets just put it this way it doesn't really leave much time for anything else assuming that you work ~. Seriously stop fooling yourself and wake up and smell the coffie..

A lot of high end players play only during raid times. 3.5 hours 4 days a week isnt your whole life.

Playing one character instead of seven can get you this stuff to.

Isn't there some type 8 augs with +3dmg to 1 handers, even +2dmg. That is one fine poker.

The two damage augment has minimum delay. The best rogue augments are 1+1 damage. The "+1" is elemental damage, so on some mobs it's resisted a lot. Still... yeah :)

Restrictions: 1h weapons only.
Minimum Delay: 28

Look below that 1h weapons restriction on your link and you'll see the minimum delay requirement.
