Max atk?

Sorry but you can never have too much atk. Im not even sure if there is anyone with "max atk"

Given that there is a cap of 250 to worn attack you can have "too much". Once you pass the worn 250 mark more attack becomes worthless.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 18 2004 at 5:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, if the previous thread is correct this effect is basically useless for me. My dots are disease and Poison based unless I am terribly mistaken. So I would probably pass on these for my GEB's I already have.

If you are a shaman, you must be completely unfamiliar with your class. Some of your dots are disease and poison, but the best ones are magic.

Good point, but the BEST ones arent neccesarily magic based as they will be resisted more often. The Curse line od DoTs are magic based and usually have a good duration and mana/damage ratio but magic is much easier to resist than say poison or disease.

Most shaman do not use DoTs, at least on Raids. Often they don't use them in groups. Between the aggro, resists and the lost efficiency if/when the mob dies well before the DoT completes, it's frequently better to use other tools available.

Personally I'd love to have these boots on my Shaman for the shielding effects.

I'm amazed that Erowl actually compared these to Golden Efreeti Boots. If these had NO effect, they would still be SO MUCH better than GEBS that comparing them would be akin to comparing a broken down, one speed bicycle to an F16 fighter jet.

Also, Erowl, you will not be "putting together a raid" to get these. To even get INTO the zone they drop in, you'll need to start by getting KT flagged, then doing the Ikkinz group trials, then the raid trials, then Uqua, then beat Cynosure in Qvic, then win the Inktu'ta zone, then go through the keying in Txevu.

Add to that, if you are wearing items like GEBS, you won't be getting very far in the above progression.

BTW, for people with your forum filter set to default, the post we are all commenting on has been rated down below the filter. Set filter to "never filter" so you too can stare and laugh.

All the trouble it would take to get a raid together?

Try the years of work it takes a guild to even egt flagged for this zone. If if you joined a guild already raiding here, it would take I'd bet a month if they liked to backflag to get you in. And probably more unless they where really hurtung for Shaman. But based on the GEB mention, you're not anywhere near the level of gear and aa it would take just to survive the flagging process.

FYI guild raiding this lvl of content have Shaman in the 9-11k hp department. Maybe more.

Actually, for a shaman using the LDoN Bane spell along with crit dot 3, 1218 dam/tick on a crit tick
Incredible...

I'm not going to make stupid comments about who out of those classes should get it. Those are extremely great stats and modifiers. However, if given to a rogue or berserker, the focus effect is lost completely.

And Giving to a shaman lets the +20 attack go to waste. Whats your point? Guilds at this zone most likely have maxed attack, and many of the same focus effects already on another piece of armor. Some homework keeps people from looking stupid.... at this point players are looking at the hp/mana/ac as upgrades, since stats are usually maxed.

read carefully, this focus is for magic based dots though, which limits a lot .
so the focus is kinda crappy anyways
