According to Lucy, the procratemod (proc rate modifier) is 0 which means it procs as much as a "normal" weapon. This is in comparison to the Ethereal Destroyer which has the same proc on it, but is "crippled" by only procing at 85% of the "normal" rate.

The base normal rate as shown by parsing on the war page comes out over time to be 2 procs per minute.

Wouldnt it be nice if the new expansion was scaled down?

Not at all, the whole point of new expansions is to provide new content for everyone. If your not in a guild that allows you to raid in Time etc, thats fine because joining a guild like that only lets you skip content.

My guild raided through Kunark dragons and planes, moved on to hunting in kael for armor then HoT in TOV, then NTOV and AoW etc. Then when Luclin came out, we raided Ssra, akheva until we were able to beat the Emperor and raid Vex Thal. As POP came out we raided till we beat gods and gained elemental access , then beat all 4 elemental gods and zoned into Time. Now we have beaten Time and are raiding heavily in Gates the current expansion.

The point is, people dont need excessive low level content in a new expansion. They need to experience the rest of the game. That way when they are to that stage in the game, they can enjoy the new expasion even more so because they have seen all of what the other expasions offered.

The old expasions were very good, I really enjoyed Kunark, Velious, Luclin, and especially PoP. Thats content. The new stuff needs to be designed to challenge the end game players.

Not all expansions are progressive. After PoP came out, there was mid level expansion called LoY, then LDON came out that was made for level 20 to 65+

after That GoD came out which was really the first major upgrade since PoP, and OOW is the last major upgrade for EQ.

If history repeats itself, the next 2 expansions will be more for PvE content and not for major skill or Level upgrades.

Personally, doubt Sony will every go above the level 70 cap in OOW, but would not suprise me if we get more AA abilities.

Frankly, in my own humble opinion, alot of lower level guilds will be able to do PoP flagging on a grander scale with level 70.

For all the nay-sayers out there that think EP/Fire and Time is gonna be over-run is foolish. Mainly for a few reasons:

1. There is alot of content in easily accessable GoD zones that have awsome EP level gear, they can farm.

2. The addition of OOW will push the current GoD guilds into new territories, and the GoD content of the EP level guilds will become thier new playground.

3. OOW itself will offer content for guilds of all levels that are capable of Tier 3 Bosses or harder.

4. From what I read, only one zone in OOW is locked, so only guild/players that are really dedicated will need to get keyed.

-I would like to add that alot of players complained about flagging in PoP/GoD, and liked how Velious was done. So I imagine there will be tons of interesting ways to do OOW, depending on your guild.

In addition to the locked zone, there is a zone you must be 69+ to enter (Riftseeker's Sanctum).

wouldnt it be awesome if OOW had worse gear? i mean, if it were scaled down a bit?

i currently can play around in GoD, but i have a few time loots, etc. I know a lot of people cannot, wouldnt it be nice to give them some content?

i'm not sure about other servers but on mine it's pretty much all endgame people and extremely low lvl ones from like 30-62ish its all non existant; if probably 75% of members are lvl 65 and raid somewhat and a large percentage of that group is time/ at least qvic flagged they arent going to make alot of mid game content as no one would want to pay for it. Would be nice to get my alts that arent flagged for much gear though yea
