The Mudwater Rune is dropped by lizard fanatics inside CT at the pyramid.
The Tae Ew Fanatics are not found in front of CT on the Progression Servers.

It never ceases to amaze me. The ammount of purely fictional information on these boards is astounding. Hearsay and rumor coupled with pure friggin' fantasy. The facts about this item from someone who has actually looted them are:
The Mudwater Rune IS NODROP
The Mudwater Rune drops off of Tae Ew Zealots and Fantatics
Tae Ew Zealots are around lvl 28-34, Tae Ew Fanatics are around lvl 26-30
Neither Zealots nor Fanatics are casters, and more often than not they do not carry weapons
The Tae Ew Zealots and Fanatics are found in The Feerrott on an island on the Innothule side of the river
The island is where the zone to The Lost Temple of Cazic Thule is located, but you do not have to (and probably shouldn't if you're of the level to be questing Lambent armor)go into the Temple.
The entrance to the Plane of Fear is indeed also located in The Feerrott, relatively close to the Tae Ew island, but you should not go there either.
There, this should hopefully dispell all the ridiculous rumors and fantasy about THIS particular item.... only 53 million items to go and maybe we'll have some valuable, accurate resource for questing.... Or people could just stop posting about things if they haven't actually put the item in their hot little toon hand. Nah, that will never happen.

While me and my druid friend were hunting gorilla's at the ramp to Cazic, I looted approx. 3 runes in 2 hours of the Zealots. So not that bad actually. Yes, they are no drop.

The guides are outdated, a lot of the lambent guides tell you to go to the courtyard or throneroom in Cazic. I learned the hard way not only is this a bad idea the fanatics are all outside now. While it was fun to watch the epics fight there is no reason to go in a dungeon where everything has 12k hp. . .

They are relatively common, meaning you don't have to camp for long hours to get one...

I've seen many of these during my time camping 4c in Cazic Thule. Different Lizzards drop them, and YES they are NO DROP...

With the recent change in Cazic Thule are these still dropping? And can a 42Warr,39 Druid, 37 Ranger and 36 Druid go in and get one?
Just this evening I saw one drop in Feerrott off a zealot (I think). Group was a 44 wiz, 38 necro, 34 pal and 35 chanter. We chain pulled without any problems, so you shouldn't have any problems getting one too.
