This is for the Druid Epic 1.5 and they have significantly reduced the drop rate. 65 Druid with 200 forage skill. Been foraging for 3 hours now and nothing.
Thank for the informative post, I have been in Rathe Mountains for 2 days, about 8-9 hours total, with no luck. I made about 3kpp running around foraging and killing HG's. Also tried foraging at the zoneline to The Feerrott and Lake Rathetear. I tried foraging before talking to Athele with no joy. I went and talked to her, then went right to the location listed above ( +330, +1672 ) and foraged about 10 times and got it. I was also right after killing the Corrupted as well. I have 200 forage and am a 67 ranger. Hope this makes this very boring and time consuming part of the epic a little easier.
the item is part of the druid epic 1.5, quote from these boards..
Althele says 'I am certain that you would sense it too, had you been so blessed as to be without sight. My sense of the life of Norrath is greatly heightened without the hindrance of vision. As I can sense that you have at your call the power of the lands, perhaps in the form of the Nature Walkers Scimitar. I can feel an unnatural illness creeping about the edges of Norrath. Please, if you come across anything suspicious bring it to me. I am worried about this cold sickness that I can almost taste. Go with the blessing of the Mother and the speed of the Storm, my child.'
Head to Rathe Mountains and forage until you get "Sickly Maiden's Hair". Return to Althele with it.
There is an item foraged in oen of the OoW zones with the same name except diseased is added in. Very likely to be part of epic... possible start for 2.0 with 1.5 completed or even the start of 1.5 without 1.0 epic being finished.
Was checking Druid Epic 2.0 information and someone mentioned this being part of that quest. Whatever it orginally was for it has a (possible) purpose now.
Foraged on August 8th, Mithaniel Marr Server Druid 41, forage skill: 155
I was just in Rathe, killin HGs and practicin forage when I got this, asked on ooc what it was, got no reply, now im here. Wish I knew what it was for...
I foraged one on June 17. Ranger with 156 forage skill. Was in Rathe for about 3 hours and foraged 4 of them. Destroyed each one and on my way out I foraged my fifth. Kept it and put it in the bank. Will hang on to it for a little while until it gets in my way...lol.
