Killed giants and foraged at the new giant spot in the NE quarter of the zone for about 3 hours with no success. The very first forage at 300 1600 ( Old Hill Giant location ) was successful! Thanks to all who posted.

4 forages while reading all these other posts during forage repop time and bam, 20 minutes max...old giant hill 300 1600, doesnt seem like a coincidence...
Don't do it if you have any inkling not to .....
It doesn't matter where in zone you are, this is a zonewide forage and seems to be rare as hell. I've been at the hot spot aka mosquito hill that everyone is raving about for over 2 hours and no hair yet. Nothing worst than being forced to forage....fking lame
LOL of course as soon as i Alt-Tab back into EQ and press forage, i finally get it. Wow......

After coming here for a few days running around randomly and maybe 5 hours total I finally broke down found this thread. I went to +300, +1600 and after about 20 minutes I was able to forage it. From the Feerott zoneline just run west and go southwest at the fork. The area is up on the hill with the mosquitos.

/loc +330, +1600 worked in less than 30 minutes for 73 Ranger

same here.....less than 30 and i had the drop from this loc
Found this at HG Hill (with orc warrior tents) with my druid, pos 3268 neg 1282, pos 117. 185 forage skill. Good luck!

i can confirm hamosa's post is ABSOLUTELY correct, old giant hill loc 300, 1600
first forage and that is what i got was the sickly maidens hair, maxed forage on my druid

This is random, hands down. Been at this for well over 3 nights still nothing even with a skill of 160 i cant find anything other than berries, veggies, and rabbit meat. Been all over the zone nothing seems to work. This forage is random.

I'm pretty sure this forage is random... spent ~2 hours at the new HG hill, ~1 hour at the old hill, and about 30 mins at the other loc posted on here(-231-287 i think?) and now I'm at the lake rathe zone trying to get it... I've yet to forage it. Forage is at 153 with 1 aa in Nature's Bounty.
Okay, since it didn't seem to matter where I was I went back to where to HG's are now to farm a little, and was there for about 30 mins and decided I was gonna try and go get the Pine Sap, and the last forage before I left I got the hair... some random loc on top of the HG's hill.

I forage a few hours where the new hill giants were, went over to where they now spawn and got it within 10 minutes ..... so go to where the hill giants spawned back in the day ....300 1600 round there on the hill where al the mosquitoes flying around and your golden.

Confirmed spot. just kill a bit of time shooting mosquitoes with your bow if it doesn't take the 6 trys at forage as it did me.

VERY VERY TRUE! i was in rathe for about an hour foragin all over even at the site stated where the guy was killin the Monk NPC and nothing. Walked over to the old Hill Giant hill BAM 1st forage!

LoL...not sure how much of a coincidence this is, but forage two different times for a totalt of over 4 hours (tried all over the zone)...so I figured what the heck...I'll give Nidachi's loc a try (-231.81, -287.29) and I foraged the dang thing first try.

I think it doesn't matter where you forage the hair. First I sat about 2 hours near the zoneline to Feerot. Then I went to the hill, where the hillgiants used to spawn (330, 1670) for another 2 hours. Finally I tried to forage it close to the zo to Lake Rathetear, and it's there, where I found it.

Trust foraging at the hill giants i foraged for 2 hours at ethier zoneline and between gave up for a bit looked at posts went to Hill giants got on 2nd try =)

had been in Rathe Mountains 2 days foraging on my druid. Finally read the posts went to the loc mentioned for the corrupt hill giant. approx pos 330 pos 1673. hit gorage 2 times and there it was.

Zoned into Rathe mountains and was just running towards hill giant camp and hit forage button once and got this. Had no idea what it was even for, lol. Sorry have no idea what the loc was. Good luck

I was running out with my druid to the locations listed. I hit my forage key about 4 times total and found it in less than 10 minutes. Loc -167.59,-24.53,1.08
I've been foraging at this loc (Nidachi's loc) for about an hour and a half and have a full bag of food and water + some grubs to show for it. I'm 100% sure I'm at the loc and I have yet to show any success for it. I continue to stay out of superstition however. Just a forwarning for further druids.

Read Nidachi's post. Zoned into, ran to loc, foraged and got it first try..
Went to the loc that nedachi gave was there 20-30 min and got one .

After some 20 hours, I finally foraged one in Rathe Mtns at pos413, pos1773, pos134 on the northwest top of the giant hill. Made somthing like 20k killing things between forages.

Hey guys ..i been in Rathe Mountians (killing Brother Zephyl)and i forged this item(4 times) at this LOC (-231.81, -287.29, 103.00).I know its the same thing b/c its the only lore item i have in my bags)My forge is maxxed. Hope this helps someone.

Well just came across another one at this LOC -548.17, 746.66, 16.30
more new info(11:46pm): Someone was looking to forge this item in Rathe Mountains. So i told them about this LOC. They forged for about 30mins and got the drop. They left and about 15mins later i got another one! Same LOC at (-231.81, -287.29, 103.00).

reading posts.2004 must have been a bad year foraged 2 within a matter of 30 mins . only reason i know was 2 was because it said duplicate items not allowed....had to look it up was nearly going to destroy....would have been a bad move for a Druid lol

Well i was in RM for about 2 hours today, foraging every time I had the chance to do so. ....Nothing but roots and berries... Looks like i will keep trying tomorrow. It's making me wanna invest in the AA to forage multiple items.
