The effect is actualy Discordant Flame, allah has it incorrect.

Only DoT's we have and I use them when soloing, land them both with a BA4 bracer and I average about 120 & 90 damage per tick = 210 average for 5 ticks plus the initial 1k of base damage. Decent for the mana cost and lets to nuke once or twice in between the duration. With the 45% increase that'd be nice, OK haviing it work on DD or Bolt spells would have been more senseable but Sony has never had any love for us magicians. Geez the only other class having as much trouble with the new epics is Rogues(guess epic 1.0 was a bit too easy).

I would assume that with the omens of war expansion we are going to get something that makes this useful... but who knows

Yeah missed that the first time ( 1st cup of coffee ;P ) So while the stats are nice, the effect is completely useless to us. /sigh, way to go SoE

More importantly, wtf is the min duration of 30 seconds?!? If thats correct then its geared toward the magi rain line of spells and is completely useless..

Nah Tess, look at the exclusions
"6: Limit: Target(AE PC v1 excluded)
7: Limit: Target(PB AE excluded)
8: Limit: Target(Targeted AE excluded)"
Which means that it is not going to be the rain spell because that falls under targeted AE + ae is instant detrimental, not overtime, just multiple waves of instant. However i believe the previous commenter may be right, fire based dots lasting more than 30 seconds. Which in turn makes it... completely useless.

Yes, you read it correctly. And we all know that mages have the best fire DoTs in the game. Way to go SoE on such excellent QA.

Okay, not that I expect to ever have this otherwise yummy robe, for the sake of my fellow magicians I am going to assume the effect listed is a terrible error which will be quickly remedied.
Hmmm... a month and a half later and it is still not fixed.
