Not usable from inventory. Wrong info below. Maybe they changed it or maybe someone deliberately posted bad info. Wasted my time.

Most of these comments appear to be outdated. My rogue can cast it from inventory just fine. Also I've noticed nothing unusual about the buff. I'm the correct, large size, and it persists after zoning.

My bard has the aa where you keep your illusion through zoning but after he zones the illusion goes weird. On my screen he's a full sized ogre but to everyone else he's a shrunk ogre. He is a wood elf and that is how big the ogre is so I'm assuming that has something to do with it. Just an odd bug.

Flesh was going to rot, so I looted, went to Yxtta and did the turn in and tried. Got message this item is not usable by your class, race, deity. So I have a cool item collecting dust in my bank yet again.

Since the quest is all/all and I found this item by mistake on search during the stupid mm timer...My guild has been wondering if anyone knows if you can click from inventory? Since I'm probally gonna be the first rogue in my guild to do the quest, not many rogues in my guild.

Does Illusion Ogre give you the front stun immunity that Ogre's normally get?

effect for rogue Epic 2.0
# Jun 17 2004 at 1:29 AM Rating: Default
I just had a fun idea... what if One effect on the Rogue Epic 2.0 was a targettable doppelganger effect. Target any NPC in the zone you're in (with the exception of boss mobs?) and morph into that shape.

I bet rogues would dig it, and it would circumvent the issue of models/zones.

That was an Enchanter spell that was due out in LDoN, target a mob, cast the spell, you turn into it.

Really don't see why it was pulled as it sounded fantastic, and it is doable as grieg's end mobs can turn you into numerous mob forms.

Anyway, doubt that would come onto rogue epic, if it did appear I'd presume it would be an enchanter spell.
I know I'd be annoyed otherwise :p

i guess they dont want enchanters turning into named mobs or anythign that would stike a quest turn in .. it can confuse the peeps alot

On the Test server this spell was granting players fixed duration invisibility that could not be broken, even through melee, casting spells, etc, if they targetted an invisible NPC or an NPC with "no" model (such as shadowmen or the chanter's own pet).
Visage of the Brute

Using this information which was posted at the Safehouse forums, a guildmate of mine got his mask yesterday.

Solved this quest today on Drinal server after getting a great tip from a very cool bard on Bertox named Naxis, send him a tell to say thanks for the tip.

After you get the Mishapen Cragbeast Flesh from the Cragbeast Queen in Natimbi, you need to head over to Yxtta and open the riddle door near the golems. At 4am in the morning near the Primal Reptile a Ghost will spawn named Caridwi. (Loc is –242, -2115) Hail her and follow the text and hand in your Misshapen Cragbeast Flesh for the Visage of the Brute. (nothing else is required but to hand it in) The mob will despawn at 6am, so you need to be there at the right time to find her. I honestly have no idea how I would have ever found this out without a tip, since I cant track and there was really no info given to direct you to that location. Special thanks to my guild mate Courtinae who helped me and got her mask today too. I hope everyone enjoys their new toy!

As for the mask not being "a Noc er something kewl" - Nocs are local to GoD, not seeable in all expansions, thus disqualifying them. Illusions have always worked this way. This is the 17th rogue usable illusion via clicky item (not counting potions). Ogre, Troll, water elemental and air elemental were the only ones rogues didn't already have - and bards have water elemental from Siren's Grotto - so discounting that illusion that basically narrowed the mask down to three: Ogre, Troll, and Air Elemental.

I'm glad they chose Ogre. I just wish the mask had a little worn ATK. These GoD "upgrades" are dropping many high end rogues below the worn cap, which makes no sense.
bout time =P

I actually know many rogues that really looked forward to getting an ogre mask lol, so i'm sure this is a welcome sight to some.

Er...I am guessing this is another Queen/Uqua combination craft item, so details would be great if anyone can share.

any illusion item requires that the models for whatever it makes you look like be available in all zones, this takes memory, would it be cool to look like a noc? maybe, but not worthwhile to use memory in every zone for a cool clicky effect.i think a better effect would be a mask that would make you look like whatever you had targeted , possibly restricted to certain mob types like muramites, since the illusion would fade when you zoned it wouldnt require any extra models be loaded.

bah, if they fix the deception spell to work like that, theny maybe they can think about letting rogues do it :P
