I got one off a saltwater croc while camping the ancient croc
Ok, lots of posts about what drop them... The imporant thing is that its catch 22. They drop until you're playing a mage then getting them is like pulling teeth. (just made a mage LOL) So, my suggestion is... if you know any mages, give the gloves to them. There are several spells which use the gloves so its likely they'll need them or will know someone who will. Lets keep thoes vendors empty ;-)

These are used for mage spell research. They can drop off of any mob that's in the right level range anywhere in the game. It's just like words, runes, pages and other low to mid level research items.
They seem rarer than other research items because there are lots of different types of words, pages and runes. It would be better to compare the drop frequency to something specific, like words of cloudburst.

Looted one of these in the grave yard at Mist more,cant recall which mob dropped it.

Hmm, methinks since they drop off alot of different mobs,even though rarely. This must be a common drop item,i've seen 3 so far. 1 in East wastes,1 in Rathe mtns,and 1 in Highkeep. I will keep em may decide to change professions,heh.

Receive the gloves of Rallos Zek as a drop from a Visionairy in the Warrior Room of Highkeep. It seems these come from everywhere eh?

Got these today off of a mountain giant in FM. No one im my group has ever seen them. Anyone know excatlly what they are used for, post a message plz.

I found one of these the other night; no one in the Group had ever heard of them. After a Shout I was told it is part of a Mage Quest.
