The Ore is dropped from various mobs in the higher level GoD zones.
Each combine of the ore can yield 1-3 bars. the amount is as random as a random number generator can be. This goes for both Aligned and Shimmering ore.

does anyone know if the number you make when purifying the ore goes up as you purify more and more like the aligned ore? ive only purified 2 of these so far, and both times only yielded 1, but ive done about 15 alligned ore and im up to 3 yields per purify.
Don't know the answer to your question, but given your results I'd rather just hand the shimmering ore to the ogre (Esunta, in smithing shop in Abysmal Sea) and get two bars back.
With the velium gemmed weapon upgrade in the last patch (June 16), bazaar prices have gone up considerably (from 30-50k to 100k) -- sold some shimmering bars for 7kpp each in a matter of minutes (needed the cash, or I probably could have gotten more). If you have some sitting in your bank and don't plan on smithing them anytime soon, now is the time to sell...

The resulting number of Bars, or anything refined in GoD is dependant on the number of combines youve done for that refinement. I get 2x Pale Nihilite now, and 3x Dark Matter

This is made by forging a Shimmering Aligned Ore... trivial 15.... dont know where to get the ore, however.
Does anyone know where to obtain this item?
is this crafted dropped or storebought?
