Even if the XP becomes moot at higher levels, the possible faction mods from the various bonechip quests around the world are not to be sneezed at. Sure it can take forever to get yourself into places like Cabilis, but for us non-Enchanters, quests like those are often the only reasonable way to make it possible.

I have a lvl 18 iksar on tallon zek and i sold a backback with 8 slots(full of bone chips)to a barbarian for 100pp, he needed them for the bone chips quest. you give them to a guy at the ent to east cabilis in FoB and he gives you some silver and some faction raises.

If you speak with your heart and not with your body, you will fulfill your destiny.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 16 2002 at 3:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Okay, stuff like this are what makes a site such as allakhazams have a higher bandwith bill needlessly (especially when it goes on the updated list)

1) There are newbies that join EverQuest every day. They know just as much about bone chips as I know about planar drops. Just because you know it doesn't mean everyone does.

2) As a programmer, I can attest to the fact that it's easier, by far, to make everything conform to a single template (ie, every item has an image) than to make special cases for a tiny optimization.

3) I don't think thousands of people look up bone chips and therefore download the graphic thousands of times. In that case, Allakhazam should remove the graphic from the most commonly referenced items regardless of what they are.

there used to be a vendor who sold an infinate supply of these ****** thing once
..but alas in my demetative old age I for the life of me cannot remember who it was...(stopped playing my necro a month into game and made a cleric lafs)
Has anyone else come across a vendor who regularly has these in large quantities for sale?
Just curious to know...maybe patches and changed loot tables have stopped it ..but I see in EC you can still purchase an infinite supply of batwings...off the euridite vendor and these are also a quest item ...

I'm always buying these from merchants, always killing decaying skellies, for one sole purpose...KALADIM BONE CHIPS QUEST! I have over 400 now, and every once in a while, someone will join my guild at a low level, and soon he'll be up to level 12! Or say one of my friends just started to play the game, He starts at level 12! It is just such an amazing quest. i hate the newbie levels with my twinks, and I want some of them to be able to cast cooler spells earlier. Keep that in mind, and all you Torv players..watch your backs, and don't steal my thunder..

only problem with doing this is that your skills dont raise when you do it. So you have a lvl 12 ranger (or whatever) with offense(0), defense(0), 1hs(0), etc... So if you try to fight anything, you cant hit it, and your ac sucks. With Melee types, its something you'll spend more time trying to fix then it would have taken you to just fight your way up. With casters it isnt so bad since you can just stand in a corner for a few RL days casting spells over and over to get your spell skills up. but your defense skill will never recover, and thats critical for enchanters, wizards, and clerics and any caster who plans to solo. I speak from experience. everyone has tried it, and it just doesnt work.

P.S. 400 chips isnt that much. it takes almost 40 stacks to get to lvl 9. thats 800 chips. lvl 12 will take you well over 2000 bone chips.

Most versatile loot in the game

Even higher level players can make excellent earnings off of Bone Chips. You just have to know where to sell. Selling them in any zone where they can actually be found is just silly. Go back to your Economics 101 class and remember the key phrase "Supply and Demand".

Find the high level Necro camps where bone chips are not possible to obtain. I've received 20+p per stack in some places, most often in OOT where bone chips are not and high level soloing necros are.
the items not sales

this is suposed to be an area for item info not for auction... there are alot of quests listed here that I have not done and also have no info for.... lets just keep it about quests and not for the different sale prices...not griping just mt 2cp

As a newbie I collected these and sold them to necs which helped finances a lot. Now I usually kill the decaying skellys as I run past and just give the chips to my dark friends. However they are a great thing for newbies to sell, usually around 5pp a stack.

Just curious but who in their right mind would pay 5pp for bone chips? I can only sell a stack for about 2pp, 3pp if im lucky. Where do you sell yours?

Also, it depends on the server. Some servers a platinum piece is worth a lot more than others. On morden rasp a stack goes for closer to 10-20pp. But lets not even get into that server's 'unique' economics.

Bury yourself in the basement of a dungeon, and necros are very willing to pay any price you want.

The further away from bone chip source zones, and the further away you are from the general traffic zones (ie portal zones), the higher the price becomes.

these sell great to lazy casters, i sell for 5pp a stack and they sell well, they sell well in bulk, they are also good for trading.
here is my pricing for bought stacks
1 stack = 5pp
2 stack = 10pp
3 stack = 13pp
4 stack = 16pp

ect ect ect, just sell, look in newbie zones for necs and such and sell for 5pp to them

I would sell for 5g or 1pp since bone chips are not rare and you can buy them from a NPC merchant for alot cheaper for a stack or just one.
