Interesting, This item shows up when I do a search for "Polished Granite", but not if I do a search of "Fabled"... trying to setup a wishlist while servers are down, this being my first Fabled session despite having started in 2001. Just never managed to be around to get online in past years.
It doesnt show it when you search "fabled" because the list it truncated to 100 items, which as of right now only goes down to the B of fableds: "The Fabled Binden Concerrentia."

Spawned (after MANY place holders) at 468, 91 up a little side ramp from main path in HighPass Hold. Dropped the Fabled Polished Granite Tomahawk, Poloshed Granite Tomahawk, and a rusty two handed sword.
I think (not positive), that he can spawn at any of the spawn spots for the mucktails by the zoneline. I've seen the regular named pop at dif locations by zoneline.

Still spawns and his brother vexven spawned right after him.
Can be found when you enter zone from EK on the first ledge on your left (see map)

can somebody please give an exact spawn location for this mob? it would help me a lot

This drops off the Fabled Grenix Mucktail. It procs Rampage. I've had this weapon for a year now on my ranger from the first anniversary. I camped him at the spot and logged him in to loot. It's a decent twink weapon, but it's not really that great. The proc doesn't happen quite enough to help a great margin. However, it's nice to have.

Timeout- I just killed this guy last night...and his name was "Grenix Mucktail"...not "Fabled Grenix Mucktail"...and he didn't drop anything better than a gnoll scalp. Let me guess EQ, you changed the name??? Frustration as always...thanks Sony. :)
The Fabled mobs were part of the fifth anniversary events. Its over, only the regular version pops now, but he still should have dropped the regular PGT.

It's a Combat proc, not a triggered one. I have it and have played around with it.
That sure would be a bit of an exploit if you could trigger an Absorb Damage effect wouldn't it?

Not really, Wizzy Epic has a trigger'd Damage Absorber.

Soloed mr Muctail with my 42 bard with 0 buffs. he hits max of 90, and has aroudn 2k hp, took about 3 min to kill him in melee. Ended fight with 80% hp left
Any chance a 36 War could solo this guy? Or should I bring a friend?

nods same here Dropped him with a 43 troll warrior. He got me down to 60percent hp( mostly crafted armor,22% hasted, and 2ratio weapons. I liked getting into my old hunting areas but was sad to see only 3 people total pass though in 5 hours. I miss the old orc and gnoll camps. If they would only give Highpass the exp bonus they give PC to take up slack and renew interest here.

I took my 45 Druid in there and camped him for awhile (Had my 22 War camped close by) It does in fact drop off Fabled Grenix Mucktail and he is not a common spawn. The first time I went into HP to see if he was up, he was. He hit me (45 Druid) for 100 and Resisted every snare or root I threw his way. He was green to me, but I had to zone due to low mana. I zoned back in within 60 seconds and he was gone. No one else was in zone, so I dont know if he just "de-popped" or what. I camped him for 2 more days and finally got him to pop again. He hit hard, but druids blast harder (And I was FM this time) Not a bad little item, the Rampage is pretty nice. So to anyone campin him, be ready for some hard hittin and root resistin and long campin. Enjoy

This was first guy I ever camped lol. I almost **** when I got it too, thats when I got hooked to eq I think lol
I haunted highhold pass for 10 levels and about 3 months trying for the original PGT. I may return to try it again for history of it.

I imagine it would drop off of Fabled Grenix Mucktail in High Hold Pass.
