Fabled Kobold Priest
# Mar 30 2006 at 11:59 AM Rating: Decent
Fabled Solusek Kobold Priest (white con at lvl 70) is pretty rare spawn - left side in hidden Priest room - will aggro from King's Room - killed him once solo with my 70th Mage - very magic resistant - long fight using healing potions - only hit me up to 1550. Second time got summmoned before healing potion timer was up - came back with 70th Ranger and 68th Cleric - kill Fabled King then Fabled Priest. Didnt see any CH - good deal of hitpoints.
just me or have people lost cooperation

i remember last year with fableds there was about30 people at the camps and we all slaughtrered every fable that came up the lists may of been long but everyone was helping everyone else even people that already got their items and you got your item and gave people with a less likely chance of getting it to get it
Stupid Priest

The mob appeared to be a rare spawn. We camped him for three hours before he finally popped. Single group of mostly high 50's and 60's took him down. I got the BP, which was better than just about any I could have picked up in the Bazaar.

Priest never CHealed, but he certainly hit hard enough to give our tank a rough time.

this year the priest is lvl 70 and hits for up to 2122, much harder then last year.

I know this is after the fact but ah well...

Camped this for 16-24 hours at 2 different camps (I really lost track after 8) with my 55 pally and various others. My stuns worked well to prevent his CHeals. Had an elementaled rogue for awhile to make this a fairly easy takedown.

Quadded for 1k+, rampages, enrages and other fun stuff. Has about 80k hps.

Had a 60 druid and cleric chain chealing my **** when we lost the high lvl tank.

I sympathize... it took me 15 hours and 5 deaths to get the BP when it was live... we had a 65 elem warrior tanking for us, and he died more than I did.

In that time, there were only 3 drops of the BP... I was second on the list, and my zerker friend was third.

Its over. It was was part of an approximately month long series of events, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of EQ. Done and gone. Unless they do a GM event, or reactivate these for some other reason, the only ones you'll see are on other people who already have them (unless you transfer to FV server, and buy one).

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 14 2004 at 7:32 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I saw a link to all this fabled stuff, and thought 'god, i will never get any of that!' After a couple of days in guk, i had a Fabled Short Sword of Ykesha, Fabled Flowing Black Silk Sash, and Fabled Mithril Two-Handed Sword. Then i saw a link to the Fabled Mithril Breastplate, and well REALLY wanted one! Went to Solb, and got on the list, number 6! soon got to number 3, having looted a Fabled Shield of the Slain Unicorn, and poof, the raid disbanded. I was a bit annoyed! Went there the following evening, and was about Number 8 on the list ( bearing in mind this is the day before the Patch where i think the fabled stuff is leaving) Decided i could not manage to get it, as I needed sleep, and the raid leader had crappy rules for LD's and being on a dial up which LD's every 2 hours without fail, this camp was impossible. I thought all hope of getting the BP was lost. To make myself feel better, i went to NK and looted a Fabled Crafted Vambraces, an upgrade to my Deepwater ones. Then Logged for the night. The next morning, I logged onto a 58 Druid, to see if there was a long list for it. Zoned into Solb and saw there were 4 people includng me in there. I thought, hey i can get a raid and loot the BP! i /ooc camp check, and the other 3 were all 65, Cleric, Rogue and warrior, i think (for they were anon) and were trio'ing the fabled. i asked if i could loot the BP, as they had better, and they said no because they could not be bothered to kill the Priest for me, which is fair enough. At this point there was about 1 hour fifteen minute until the servers were going down. Desperatly, i said i would give them 2kpp each, and they accepted. Logged onto my Pally main, and went there. We took the priest down, as he poped while i logged. I asked to loot it, but they said they wanted the cash in hand. I quickly got a port and got 6k, went back, and looted the BP about 10 mins before the servers were down... WOOOT!! got my BP, the last ever looted on Lanys Server!!!

Except for the small detail that the Fabled mobs are still in the game as of April 14th (I checked after the patch), nice story. Sorry to hear you won't be the last on Lanys Server to get them but either way, 6k is a steal for that item.

Got on list for this nice item and had been camping it for 36 straight hours. Finally my turn came up and some guy ninja loots and takes off with it. Group fell apart after that and never ended up getting it. Sweet BP though...

He (The Fabled Kobald Priest) popped me (a level 56 Ranger with ~1200 buffed AC) for 1600 max - several times during my stay at this camp (I must have dies 8 or 9 times, total, during the 16 or so hours I was there). He is by far the meanest of the Fabled Kobalds.

Holy festering sores, this is a tiring camp.

Spent 14+ hours the first day in a long line. Few Fableds in the morning, then hours and hours mid-day of nothing. Finally managed to get Bracer for myself and friend at the end and stayed longer to help with next Fabled spawn (don't like to loot and run).

Next day happened to be after the patch (due to Sony's *incredible* lack of planning/testing on the DX9 engine) and got 2nd in line behind another warrior around 10am or so that morning. People slowly trickled in but no Fabled Kobolds or Death Beetle until hours later. When the spawns finally started that night (sometime after 5pm on March 30th?) I was 1st due to warrior's earlier departure from exhaustion. Got a Bracer for other raid member, then suddenly Priest was trained into room by an overzealous player who was clearing the royal kobold rooms. Needless to say it wiped our unprepared party.

This is right about when the server-wide broadcast came about all servers going down in 15min.

Took a little while to get the few remaining folks who had escaped to stop zoning in for lookie-loos (resulting in the Priest chasing them to zone line again and again). Finally started some controlled rez'ing and frantically gathered to take the Priest down.

This is when the EQ client on my computer decided to crash.

As the servers were about to go down, I was naturally locked out and unable to login. Relayed messages to raid leader via my friend who was still online and talking to me on the phone (I had the loot list). Sent word to give drop to next on list and they managed to take down Priest and camp just as the servers came to a halt.

After wasting time in chat with other raid-mates, finally got back on and started over again. Actually managed to get a few more spawns hours later and did manage to get my BP somewhere around 14 hours later. Stayed on a couple more hours to help the raid leader get his BP and another Bracer or Legs (forget which) for another lucky soul before collapsing for an hour or so sleep before work.

Did I mention the 19th level fool who kept training and wiping us the first day, griping about not being first to be rez'ed and then ninja-looted whlie we fought the 2nd Fabled in a row that he trained? Ah yes... we had it all. :) Makes life interesting, though.

Man did they change the spawn time on the Preist this weekend I spent 17 + hours straight and just seen 3 of these guys. I did not get a BP. Got some sleep come back 5 more hours 1 pop not mine, came back later that day spent 8 hours 1 pop not mine. Friend was killin him and he popped about once an hour. Think ill try one last time this comin weekend then give it up. Hope I get lucky
Very infrequent now.

Camped the Fabled Noble, King, Priest, and Champion for about six hours on Friday 3/26, and we got two bracers, two staffs, two shields, and only one breastplate that was grabbed early in the six hour shift, with no more Priests to pop the rest of the night. The pop rate on the priest has definitely been reduced as of the last set of patches - I can't say I blame them.

I started on the list at #3 in line, and camped at #2 in line six hours later. At least I got a shield for my 55 sk as a consolation, and a staff for my 44 necro.

Just got BP..... WOOT

We did it(twice)with a group of 5

65 cleric, 65 sham, 65 warr, 63 warr and 54 ranger. Cleric didnt run oom, no one died and although he has lots of hp's was fairly easy, even though he now cons red to 65 after latest patch.

Since the last patch the mobs are definately a lot harder.I know yesterday I was on the list fighting both the priest and king for 11 hours. The King conned red to a level 65 and aggroed every time the priest was puled. We had a party of around 20-24 there and still suffered 9 wipes in 10 hours with average level rangeing from level 52-65.He is still killable but if you get the adds with either the priest or king, especially both at once..good luck.King quad hit me for 1565 a hit with me haveing over 1100AC and 4.5k of HP.

My Camp Experience
# Mar 24 2004 at 1:59 PM Rating: Default
I camped this camp for 10hrs right up until the 23rd patch, i logged right on after patch asap and got 2nd on the newly forming list and had my bp within another 2hours! yay!

We had list raid camping the KPC area and we were also pulling the freeti and the death beetle. In the first 10hr camp period i saw only 2 bps with a 7hr spell with not one bp drop. In that same time we saw three fabled bracers, two chitin legs, and some freeti boots.

The con "nerf" was kinda crapy...The night before the patch we had 2 or 3 60+ rogues (i play 62 rogue) in the raid at all times. every single time one or more of the rogues would land an assassinate on the Fabled's making the battles incredibly short. After the patch and the new fabled's conning blue to red the battles (still easy) just lasted a lot longer. Guess they realized rogues assassinating the fabled's was kind of a joke it was so easy.

Don't like to think about how long I spent camping these for my 40 warrior. Didn't get to go exping even once before this LAME nerf. *sigh* Not really much better then the feirce heraldic BP till I get a bit higher, wish they'd like TEST things on the TEST server and get them READY before making them live and ******** over people over and over.

Wahhh!! You cant have a 61AC bp with 90 hps from an easy mob at level 40!! WAHHHH!!

Here, shutup have some cheese!

Now to the real info....

This guy, after the 23rd update, is now a LOT tuffer, and rightly so. For the piece he drops he shouldnt be a pushover, and before he was.

First, he is now a red conn at 65....so pulling the surrounding mobs isnt a good idea. I pulled from far right side (advisor) and he came with from far cubby. With 9K hps I didnt make it back to camp alive. He hit me once from behind for 2300, and the HT was 1500. Flurried too.

The level bump made it harder to land slow on him, or debuffs, and he seemed to resist nukes a lot better as well....but he's still killable.

I just dont know that he's the 1 group pushover he was last week =)

is 1 groupable if you have the right group. don't stumble in there with kael armor and expect to win. did it with 65war/shm/drood/bard/mage/clr. all competent good players and it was not easy. warrior(me) pop'd furious and then defensive for the rest of the fight and i was taking alot of damage until it got slowed and crippled. have a fleshy tank for sure.
