I camped the Fabled Frenzied for 9 hours. I started 8th on the list and with some dropouts and 4 pops I had moved to 3rd in line when they announced the server would be going down in two hours for the patch. I doubted that I would be able to get it in two hours but decided to stick around and help until the server went down. Well of course there where no more Frenzy pops. I decided to camp in LGuk and get back in line the next afternoon. After the six hour(note the sarcasm) patch I logged back on and to my astonishment I was the only one in the room getting smacked by three frogs. For whatever reason after I logged back on after the patch my screen was very dark so I FDed to get the frogs off me while I adjusted my settings. Once I could see again I noticed someone else was there killing the frogs so I jumped up and we cleared the room. Within about 10 minutes 10 more people showed up. I got the honer of being the first on the list and we started the camp over. I got lucky and only had to wait about 30 minutes before Frenzie spawned. He was red to me, a 58 SK instead of light blue like the night before. Other than being red I didn't notice any difference in him than the other times we had killed him before the patch. The belt did have a required lvl of 50 now but that was fine by me. During my stay in LGuk there were ussually between 10 - 15 people waiting in line for the sash. To keep off the boredom we pulled every fable that popped. We killed the Fabled Assasin, Fabled Exuctioner, Fabled Evil Eye and Fabled Ghoul Lord multiple times. We also pulled most of the zone to the Frenzie room inbetween spawns. After almost 12 hours of constant undead frog killing I am still KOS to the Frogloks. Only thing I can figure is that killing the Fabled Evil Eye was enough of a faction hit to keep me KOS.
All things considered id say this item came out of the nerf rather unscathed... sure the rec lvl will kinda suck for the lower lvls who camped this item, but you still have the 36% haste, which lets be serious here, is all that really matters (sure, other stats are nice, but u camp this you can sell that ole CoF of yours or the CoCW, get some cash, and go on a spending spree, get some upgrades for those other items u got, and bam, more stats for your toon < lvl 50.)! Gratz too all the people who got this item, and too those of your who have not decided if you want to spend the time camping it or not trust me, its worth it!
Have fun, and be safe out there Norrathians!

PS: on an extra note, i have heard that the patch increased the lvl of the mobs to be more appropriate with the item they drop, so no longer will the frenzied be lb to a lvl 59, will more likely be red. Not sure if HP changed on the mobs, though the increase in lvl will make it harder for you to get spells to stick if your a caster, if you have any information about fighting the post nerf frenzy go ahead and post it, sure it would help alot of peeps
Add this to me list of nerfed fabled I spend the time to get. Though atleast it's haste don't get nerfed, an' at level 40 still gives some ok stats. Really though, SOE... please... just once TEST YOUR ITEMS BEFORE MAKING THEM LIVE THEN NERFING THEM YOU BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks to the men and women who camped this with me. I was raid leader and list holder for about 18 hours last weekend. A true team effort, I started 19th on the list, and we got about 15 drops while I was in charge. Special thanks to Justar and Gellain, who know the particular hell of organizing 20-25 random people into a successful raid force. Also pulled Lord and Assasin to our camp, and the Fabled Evil Eye a few times. The wait may be debatable, but the experience was worth it - one I will never forget.

Posted:Mar 22 2004 at 7:55 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) was first in line for FFBSS stayed 26 hours when i went LD!!!!!!!!! omg i could not get back on i was sooooooo pised Ohhhhhh
went 9 hours with no spawn while killing every placeholder as they popped. we started letting the room pop and got 2 in the next 2 hours. could be /rand luck, but maybe not.
of course, i was number 1 on the list during those greuling 9 hours...
also, he *seems* to pop more at night (U.S. time), again, no real conclusive evidence, but overnight watching the channel, there were 9 pops in about 11 hours from 7pm to 6am. my wait was from about 8am to 5pm.
I would love to own this item, but with a 24 person line and having a 24 hour wait at least ahead of me, I forgot about it. The way I see it, is it's no use losing sleep over. Once I get into the guild I am apping for, I will have access to items of about the same magnitude once I build up DKP and am able to start bidding on the items that drop.
If there are 24 people in line, there is no way you are going to get even an average of 1 per hour, try 6-8 in that time if your lucky. The fact that this camp is so difficult, people in line cant go to sleep unless they want to end up last. Its grueling to say the least.
1) A 24 long list means that you are really about number 12 in the list. Figure that about half of the people there really cant stay up long enough to fully camp it. In our camp (Karana), we booted about 4 people from the raid simply because they decided to go AFK for hours on end. We also had a ton who just had to bail to exhaustion, work, class, other. Still took me 17 hours, and I was number 18 on the list when I started.
2) If you were to get 1 spawn an hour, consider yourself damn lucky. We had 2 pop in a row, twice (the second time for myself and another guildie) and we nearly died when we saw it happen. Consider this an average of one every hour and a half, and you have a fairly accurate time to wait.
Camped it for 23 Hours Also got Fabled Short Sword of Ykesha during same wait, it took 12 Hours.
I Must say, that the way Players of many differant guilds formed an open ended Raid to handle this, was impressive.
Anyone could join the raid, and get on Lists. And almost everyone who Joined Helped.
We DID have to put a 30 minutes AFK Rule, cuz when we laxed on it, we ended up with 50% of the raid AFK, and we got a wipe out cuz of it, so If you try this, DO NOT allow AFK's, or they will get out of hand.
Yea right now on Terris Thule there is about a 36 hour waiting list for this, same with that ft1 robe in splitpaw. Seriously this is nice stuff, but there is no way Id sit up over a day for a peice of loot from this game, I don't care what it is. If a person is willing ot go through all that for this item, then they deserve it.
Got one last night for my Lvl 54 Ranger. We went into zone in a full raid formation and slaughtered everything on our way. We took out the Frenzied, Executioner and one other named. There was no queue for the mobs, as the prior group had wiped and asked us to move forward.
Thank you to New Dawn Ascended on Venril Sathir and especially all of ya on the raid.
On Rodcet Nife the camp for this item is long and you have to get in on a list, spawn time seemed unpredictable, but the sash is well worth the time and trouble!
As I am sure with all the Fabled Spawns on the all the servers, this camp was long, regimented and worth it. It was about 13 hours from being at 10th in line to getting mine on Karana (though not 10 Fabled Frenzys... a couple of people had to drop off the list). Seemed like maybe 1 every 75 to 100 minutes. Just about the same rate as with the Fabled Journeyman's Boots [url] http://www.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=27236 [\url] (another worthwhile camp).
Fabled Frenzy was no slouch. As a somewhat twinked 51 monk I think I would last maybe 4 seconds against this guy alone. He hits for over 1000 frequently, and enrages, flurries, you name it. We were unprepared for his first spawn after a long dry spell and he basically wiped us out - we had probably around six lvl 65 melees in the queue at that time. After that we got serious and setup in raid formation, and the deaths were more the exception than the rule.
Some hints: we seemed to see more of frenzy spawning when no one was in the frenzy room. We confined ourselves to the hallway and the room outside the frenzy room. We had a nasty dry spell (felt like 4 hours) where all we got were placeholders while we were hanging out inside frenzy's room. I guess he is a shy fellow and doesn't like to spawn when people are nearby. After we backed out a bit, we saw multiple frenzys pop at a time (we actually had 3 up at the same time once, and 2 up twice). Take this however you like, maybe the time just seemed to go faster, since we were pulling the Lord and Executioner and lots of hall trash.
I think this 5 year event was great. I had been working on my Robe of the Lost Circle for my Monk epic and had to spent some significant time in the "old world" dungeons of Antonnica especially lower guk. It was nice to see these old zones getting some use again.
Cheers for SOE on this... lets hope they don't nerf the good items (because I think 200 no drop items like this over a 10 day period can't possibly be more unbalancing than the new GoD stuff that will drop forever well until they nerf it or come out with a newer better more item inflated expansion).

Thanks for the great post, Innky! Wish I had the opportunity to get read that last night when I was camping mine. We also suffered an extreme dry period with nothing but PH's, however I stood in the room at the frenzy spawn the entire time and we did get consistant pops of frenzy, then a placeholder, then another frenzy, after about 4 hours of pure PH's. We NEVER saw more than one at once, however another person in the group had seen him pop 3 at a time earlier that day.
Needless to say I'm the proud new owner of this beautiful nostalgic item, I even got lucky enough to clear Exe and grab the Fabled Executioner's Axe.
I am one very happy troll =)

Am I the only one having trouble finding this room? I'm looking at the maps on eqatlas right now. I can see the entrance and I can see the room that frenzied ghoul is in but I don't see how to get from one to the other. It looks like two seperate dungeons next to each other.
Can anyone give help referencing the numbered spots on the eqatlas maps? I think there might be a hidden door or something that they don't show on the atlas maps but I just can't figure it out.
Make sure you drop down the pit. Thats probably where you're running into trouble. He's on a different floor than the other section you're looking from.
this drops off the fabled frenzied ghoul in lower guk, killed him with 65 paly, 65 shaman,64 ranger, and a 65 bard. he quads for about 1500, rampages, mitigates slow and has tons of hp's. also mob is light blue at lvl 65, and corpse rots in 8 minutes, so do cr fast if you kill him and have deaths.
