I Guess some1 Just Killed Fabled Chief Goonda for xp cause he just left him there as i waa passin by and my LEVEL 10 Bard just happened to get this earring without doing ne work at all... if i only had to use Mana this would be even better
Alas, I left too earlier. Some guildmates came by later killed one more "regular" Goonda, then the Fabled Chief Goonda spawned. Goonda's on a 20 minute spawn timer. Apparently it took 2 50s and 2 60s to slay him. I don't know how tough the fight was though. This was on the Torvonillous server.
Took out Fabled Goonda with a group 55 Mage, 40 Necro, 37 Zerker, and a 39 Cleric. Used the Mage pet to tank, Backed by the Mage, Cleric and Zerker. Necro Fearkited all Adds until Fable Dropped. Not too hard got a little dicey waiting for the Complete Heal to Hit once, but good reward for the risk.
I wanted this earring for my two botted babes, my level 56 Mage and level 58 Necro. I send the ladies there together and let the pets do the work, which was a wise decision I think, considering the bare hitpoints of my toons were around 1200. I am sortoff lazy with buffing. He ate up the Mage pet pretty fast but with two pets beating on him and an occasional nuke of both Mage and Necro (poison blast) he went down real fast after all. Not much life left on the Mage pet though. I am glad he could not get his hands on my toons because they can't really stand up against mobs that double for 200+.
A nice earring considering my bots are equipped solely through stuff they drop themselves.
Was running by with 65 cleric to help a lower level necro get this earring. Fabled Chief Goonda has a MUCH larger agro range, came after me from quite a distance and was surprised, I didn't plan on doing battle alone. However, I started to run, and rs3 was outrunning him and he didn't summon, but I had to turn around and kill him anyway. He didn't hit for over 294, and me and my hammer pet made short work of this guy (which actually took like 3 minutes) only meleeing and healing myself. So an unbuffed cleric can take this guy out solo without nukes, he isn't that tough.
The fabled mobs in unrest seemed realitively uncamped. I managed to get my ranger a fabled mantle and boots. Then I got my friends ranger aboth of those, then got his rogue both of them. All times the mobs was uncamped.
Great thing about Fabled loot is none of it has a rec level on it (which is VERY surpriseing, im surprised the guk look isn't at least rec 50 or something as good as it is).
Ok usually this mob drops the chipped bone braclet. Why is he not dropping a fabled version. He was no chump, I tried soloing him as a 54 druid. His pet is a pest, he hits for 200+ and roots....it was not good. He also runs like a damn druid...with freakin SOW...
The regular Chief Goonda has always had the Batskull Earring (along with several uncommon drops) on his loot table. For each mob that currently has a Fabled version, the designers chose one item off the standard loot tables and created a Fabled version. In the case of Goonda, they simply chose the earring. And he runs with SoW speed because, shockingly enough, he's a shaman. He's always been a shaman. Your first clue to Goonda's class could have been his pet wolf.
They didn't take items off the creature's loot tables for all of them. Take the Fabled Journeyman's Boots in Najena, I know for a fact that the mob doesn't drop Jboots.....
Chief Goonda will spawn about 75% of the time regular, and about 25% of the time fabled, from what I've seen. Be sure to pull all of his guards with a bow so you dont get aggro from him. He has a priestess and shaman you REALLY want to get rid of before you tackle him. The regular version has 1k hp and can easily be soloed by anyone 40+
The Fabled version of Chief Goonda DOES drop the fabled batskull earring. He is immune to changes in runspeed (no root/snare), he roots, quads for 200-300ish, and has a pet. A level 56 pally tried to take him on solo before I got there and only took off 20% of his health before he got killed.
My wife and I (both 46th level) decided to take him on last night on Veeshan. Surprisingly the zone was devoid of any other players so we made our way there. Upon arrival, we spied the 'normal' Chief standing there so we took out the guards and shaman one by one and finally taking out the Chief last, which didn't take long. We set up camp and waited, the second chief was the 'normal' one and finally the third pop was the Fabled. The battle didn't take too long and with a few Celestial Heals, we defeated him in no time. He averaged hits around 100-150 points a smack, but there were times where he hit twice for 280 in a row, even with a Drowsy. But in the end all was done and we were presented with the Fabled Batskull Earring, which neither of us needed, as our gear was more suited to our classes. We made a shout and some mid-teen level caster got to loot it. Overall it was a good night of hunting, even though the drop wasn't that great.
killed him today with a 55 bst was a pretty easy fight but he is a major under con to say the least .. to bad the earring is not must use to me got to go back and get one for my necro now lol,,
So they took all the old items and just added more stats and fabled to the begining of the name? Also I saw a fabled barkeep in unrest and then came back later and saw the normal barkeep up.. whats that about random... or one time pop or what? ANyone know?
Hehe, and underconned. I tried taking on The Fabled Chief Goonda solo, since he's dark blue to my 46 ranger. I took him down to 96% health, while he took me down to about 34% health. Luckily, a high level pally came by and helped me kill Goonda. Goonda was able to hit 300-ish commonly.
Later, I checked track, and Goonda was respawned, but he was normal instead of fabled.
