Can be researched now.

Well, it can be researched, but it's still NO TRADE, which sucks since I am a mage and didn't realize it was NO TRADE until after I made 3 copies.

They need to flag it ECH combine only, or remove the NO TRADE tag.

Bought the spell in the baz today for 8k. So the last patch msg must have had a typo ie "dread deeds" meant Dreary Deeds.

should have the nodrop flag removed with next patch, whenever that may be.
not happy

So every other GoD spell will remain researchable except for our new slow? /nods yes it makes all kinds of sense.
Update

Developer confirms in another forum that the recipe for this spell was not added to the databases when the spell was released live, and there is no immediate plan to correct this.
Spell Change
# Dec 15 2005 at 2:00 AM Rating: Decent
The spell attained from this geomancy stone has been changed. The info in the posts below referred to the old spell, a level 57 AE Mez.

The new spell is a middle ground between Forlorn Deeds and Desolate Deeds, our new 69 slow. Has anyone discovered the recipe for this with the new research yet?

This spell will not mez ANYTHING outside of GoD zones. Talk about getting some one all excited to get a new spell then raining on thier parade.

I have petitioned several times and the GM's will not say if it is "working as intended" or if it is broken. I have done a lot of /feedback and /bug reports. I have yet to hear anything definate though.

Ok, this spell has now been "fixed" since I last posted about it. When it first came out the spell description said any creatures up to levle 64. It now says level 59 and can be used to mez mobs outside of the GoD zones. It is still a shame that to be able to kill the mobs that drop this level 57 spell you almost have to be level 65. It is still a usefeul spell when doing the Mud Rings in PoEarth and other areas.

Just really glad it works now.

Ever since planes of power the Resists on mobs has been way too high to use any type of high taunt AE spell. I hate doing ldon's anymore with my enchanter cause it can take 3 and 4 casts many times to land a mez even with tash. I don't understand why SOE thinks every expansion they gotta make mobs harder and harder for there level. Combare a level 47 old world mob to the level 45ish natimbi mobs.

compare the gear you had when you first started killing level 47 oldworld mobs, with the gear you have killing natimbi mobs and maybe you will realize this is not supposed to be Easyquest

Oooh, pretty lights
# Apr 13 2004 at 8:07 PM Rating: Decent
I have this spell and have used it.

Great for use in lower level zones. Remember to buff high your MR.

Shame it's unusable in the expansion you find it in...

(There is another AE spell that affects up to 65. It is not this one (Bliss of the Nihil?))

Shafted again
# Apr 06 2004 at 1:37 AM Rating: Good
I had a feeling SOE had something against enchanters and I think this pretty much confirms it. 66 level GoD mob droping a MUCH needed 57 mez spell. Why? I know SOE in a effort to cut cost down hired some folks who might not be as good as the old gang, but even a 10 year old would know thier is something just dead wroung about this.
RE: Shafted again
# Jun 12 2004 at 11:38 AM Rating: Decent
I dont get how anyone was 'shafted' by gaining a spell. Yes, it can be memmed starting at lvl 57. NO, SOE did not expect anyone lvl 57 to get it(untill alts start hiding in GoD raids). the new spell that DIDNT EXIST BEFORE GoD has a very low lvl req compared to the danger getting it. They could have made the exact same spell a lvl 60+ spell, and in fact, this spell began lvl 60+(forget which exactly) that mezzed up to lvl 64 mobs, but got demoted to a lvl 57 spell that mezzes 59 mobs.

Under the listing for the mob, one post reports this spell works on mobs up to 65. Can anyone verify this?
Usefullness
# Mar 11 2004 at 3:37 PM Rating: Decent
This spell seems usefull, but mostly in a limited capacity. At 65, most dungeons are 60+ monsters, and most planes the same, or about any zone that nets EXP.

It's interesting, to say the least, that a 57 spell that charms level 59 monsters drops off a 67 mob in a GoD zone that is damn near the hardest place on earth to play (GoD in general that is, not that zone specific). Most people who can get this will not be hunting where they would use it. However, there is always a chance that they will be working over a 55-60 zone and need the AE.
What the???
# Mar 11 2004 at 2:53 AM Rating: Excellent
Ok why is a level 57 NO DROP spell on a level 67 named? I don't pretend to know all about Enc spells but thats just ridicuous sounding to me.

A good high-level AE mez is nothing to be trifled with, though the level 57 thing is puzzling somewhat.

Far as I know, any of the spells have a chance of dropping from the various areas, I doubt it's specific to that one level 67 mob.
