I can confimr that you need"

3 high quality hides
5 treated shimmering threads
1 embroidery needle

needle is returned on success or failure. The threads are made by combining the shimmering thread wiht a tea leaf oil and the hynid blood. done in a sewing kit. I use a coldain tanning kit and it works there.

I am curious how you did a 10 item combine in an 8 slot kit?

Well I am not sure about the recipe my noobish friend. But you come to Rallos Zek sometime and I will show you my 10 slot Sewing Kit.

The gnomes use to sell those sewing kits in Iceclad waaaaaay back in the day. I use to use them as 10 slot packs that held giant items. The 10 Slot kits had a wt. of 1.0 for a bit then they made it 3.0 ? 4.0 perhaps I will check and edit. Anyway; back then they had a problem with Tailoring recipes that used more then 8 items. That was the fix untill they made something called a Loom. Look in your local Singer store next time your out shopping for some yarn and you will see this huge sewing kit in the room. Clicky it and your noobish heart will be overjoyed when you count 10 slots.

TA DA ! So maybe it does take 10 items?

The recipe is wrong...it is only ONE high quality hide so you can use a 8 slot sewing kits.
Maybe I'm confused

But looking at my printouts from EQTC, this takes tattered hynid hide, not hq hides, and 3 threads, not 5. Therefore, it only takes 3 oils, not 5 - although I admit I haven't made one yet - but through camping and some quick jumpinng on bargains in the bazaar I do have 4 bloods for at least a go at trying this. I won't pay over 50 plat for the blood, and fortunately a few folks have actually sold it at that price. Also, tattered hides are running up to 5p in the bazaar on DRo, so that seems reasonable. And my druid foraged up her own oil, so so far it's not too bad. Printed on 8/23 btw. Oops never mind my recipe is for the bolstered hynid-hide sac, only a 4 slot - sorry not awake yet.

Okay... I'm going against the current on this one.

A lot of players want WR bags, and a lot of players can't afford to spend 5k on a 100% WR bag.

A nice alternative is 1-2k on one of these bags. It's an upgrade to the lemming fur ones. I just sold two, really easily in an /ooc at the bazaar for 1500 each. Bearing in mind failures, granted, I probably should have sold them for 1750+.

At any rate, I will say only two negatives on this:
as of the date of this post, August 6th... The bag exchange doesn't support these. No tokens yet (It says try back in the future).

I don't like the icon graphic for it as much as i do the haversack-type icon.

As for the farming of the rallic packs, I'd call that a ridiculous waste of time. They're lore, as mentioned below, so you're gunna do those one at a time. A quest is involved, and you gotta run way out in the boonies to do it. Last but not least, I can get hard-to-find skill ups on this bag, which trivials at 202. Tailoring is a tough skill. As long as folks will buy this bag, it's worth it for me. Heck, I'll upgrade my own lemming furs with it as soon as I can afford to not sell a few.

On Xev they are selling the blood for 100-1200pp each and hides from 100-250pp each, you need 5 shimmering threads at 50pp each and tea oil not sure on prices for tea oil. So with that alone and it will cost 850+ for one backpack unless you farm all the components yourself. Prices are to high to buy since you can get a tinkers sack or leather haversack which is 10 slot giant 100% weight reduction for around 5K.

On drinal prices went crazy after the merge, blood are selling now 2.5k and hides 2.5k - 5k and teal leaf oil 1.5k and you need 5 of those all items, not bad for a 1.4k bag

Well folks in my own opinion, this bag, while a very nice upgrade to the handmade backpack, is way too much trouble and way too expensive to make for what you get.

The shimmering steel threads are purchased in The Abysmal Sea for betwwen 50-65 plat each, depending on your race and charisma level, and you need 5 threads per pack. Your cost so far, and I'm using minimum prices, 250 plat. Bear in mind that 10% WR Handmade Backpacks sell for around 50 plat each.

You will need 1 High Quality Hynid Hide, and 5 Hynid bloods. Both are very uncommon drops in Natimbi. I was there for 2 hours and got 1 of each. You also need 5 Tea Leaf oils, which are foraged, and more on the uncommon side to get.

So unless you are willing to spend a lot of time foraging and farming Hynid bloods and hides you have another option...The Bazaar!

Tea Leaf Oil runs about 1-5 plat each. You need 5 Oils for another minimum of 5 plat.
Hynid Blood runs between 75-1500 plat each (remember it's the bazaar.) You need 5 of those for another 375 plat.
High Quality Hynid Hides average about 250 plat each.

So you can either farm your life away and make them for about 300 plat each, or you can buy what you need and crank them out for around 650 plat each. Either way you have a nice giant size, 10 slot, 30% WR bag.

Or you can go to Tennebrous Mountains and kill the runner and make Rallic Packs for about 0 plat each, spend about an hour doing it, and end up with a giant size, 10 slot, 85% WR bag. You can also sell the Rallic Packs for a sweet profit of 700-1000 plat. I wouldn't pay anywhere near 650 for the Hynid packs, but that's me.
However, the Rallic Packs are lore and the Hynid packs are not. Just my 2 cents worth.
