Gates of Discordmine says level restriction of 65 on vengeance of magic.....i got it before OOW came out, anyone elses say 65? I haven't got a chance to use it yet on 67 magic DD cause i don't have the new 67 lifetap yet =P

I may sound like a newb in asking this but I must. Does this spell only work on DD spells or will it work on the Druid "Wasp" DoT line? I'm thinking only the DD spells but I'm really unsure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

This item does not have that limitation, and I was happy the first time I used it to find it worked on DoTs as well as DD.

This focus effect only works with magic DD spells. But there are focus effects that improve Dots also

You may or may not have 355+ int by the time that you reach this zone. However, I am thinking that folks may be missing the point. The items that DO have int/wis on them will have 20-25 or more Int/Wis.
My chanter has this item, and my Int is 479 BEFORE I cast crack. When you get to the Ele planes or beyond, you will probably have as much int/wis as you have allowed by your level and AAs. My chanter has a cap of 415 int. So I can afford to drop another 60 int and still be over cap WITHOUT the extra 30int from c6.
For a long time now it's other stats that have importance (like stsm - and this item has 20stam, and over 200 hp/mana).

I've been on all night seeing posts like this... they are on every item that drops for int casters in KT+ zones... did anyone stop to think that if all the caster items have no INT on them, you aren't going to have max INT anymore? :-p

If you're at the ability level to get this item, the no Wis/Int makes no difference to you as you're most likely above the wis cap.

If your at the level where you are fighting here then you are close to Uqua and -350 to int/wis hurts so every bit over the cap helps

I don't care about the MR. I just want more mana. Either way you are going to have 500MR or not. Bards can be your best friend.
But if you get the item for your class you do not have to worry about the effect in aqua.

should look at these even closer at the high end game with all the MR buffs you most likely will get the 500 resist you want. so MR on 1 item isnt gonna really hurt you that much.......... not to mention they are single groupable and they drop alot.
i know this is on an old post but i still think it needs to be said. what if you get a lot of items with low/no magic resist? my shaman some how managed to get most of his gear without magic resists on them. i was not realy worried about resists until one day i looked at them and i saw my PR 186 MR 99 DR 228 FR 177 CR 142

Guess you have never done Ikki. These are not one groupable. They drop off any named in the 4 raid trials. Yes they are very common though. These will probly be the first thing you have rot if you farm Ikki raids.
