Lol thats funny!

Zerkers were created to be MASSIVE dps, they were created to out damage ALL melee classes. One thing for sure they can't take a punch.

I don't Think we, or even SOE, know exactly what the ultimate role of berserkers is going to be. They should generate a tremendous amount of DPS, they should be able to tank some, right now the class is simply too thrown together. Yeah they get warcry...but they also get hate reducing and aggro reducing abilities as well.

Ask me a year from now, and Ill tell you what the zerk role is :P

Cragbeast Queen is a lot like the sleeper right now...every high-end item with limited information right now is assumed to be from her, just like every friggin unsolved quest, strange item, etc prior to GoD were somehow associated with the sleeper.

Sure it's possible CQ dropped this, I'm just saying what you hear may be somebody's dreamy assumption.

Wrong. Berserkers were initially meant to be between warrior and monk DPS. They have too much other utility (warcry, ranged damage, good aggro generation thru special attacks) to be the 2nd best melee DPS class.

Thats almost funny.

first off.. Berserkers are not a Tank class.. they are chain wearing class.. so good agro generation = Bad.

secondly.. A warcry that can be used once every 30 mins for somany seconds isn't squat.

thirdly.. ranged damage is jack unless yer a ranger.. why dont rogues range?.. they umm get criticals on range innate

fourthly.. monks/rogues get a ton of utility.. I might aswell say.. hey monks get FD.. they can dodge from the back.. this and that to be high melee damage.. Rogues can go basically anywhere invis.. have escape to totally wipe enemy agro.

fifth.. if berserkers get agro they get smacked.. monks can FD, rogues can Escape

Daboulder is right, nuff said :P ATM zerkers dont have squat, everyone is just going to have to scoot over. I think they should have sk pal ac bonus so thier tanking is almost to a knights, but that wont happen, theyre going to be the only other class on the ground with the rangers when the big boss was killed in the raid. My zerker is 57 and I must say I would rather be any other melee class of the same lvl, but its good playing as something new.

Zerks have hate reducing abilities for when they get agro, to avoid getting beat on when and if they do get agro

You could give a monk a 75/40 weapon and there'd be a chance he'd out-damage the berzerker... Unless it's actually been discovered and not passed on, berzerkers can only double attack, whereas after 60 monks can triple. Monks also get flying kick compared to kick/bash, along with being able to string a chain of 3 of those flying kicks together with AA.

On a solo basis, I'm betting monks in the high end will still outdamage berzerkers. In a group setting, the two compliment each other pretty nice I would think. I would love being in a group with a zerker who could overhaste me =).

Besides, you have the uncapped damage potential with this weapon, but no way to lose agro? Zerkers gonna go splat when they pull this weapon out, not sure I'd want them on the back of a mob with the rest of the melee... they could easily turn a mob around during an enrage to wipe a bunch of melee out.

Rangers can jolt, rogues evade, monks FD... paladins and shadowknights rarely generate agro when they don't want to... but a melee dps class with no means of losing agro, with a weapon like this? I won't want to stand next to him on a raid mob.

Berserker's abilities as follows innate/AA melee wise:

-Triple attack at 60(innate)

-Frenzy up to 3 times for 160 dmg each(innate)

-Two AA that increase chance of landing a double attack and triple attack(Ferocity/Punishing blade.. copy and paste of war really * same follows for flurry)

-AA's Flurry under class AA and Raging Flurry under PoP ability(chance to score TWO additional hits with their main hand, each teir increases the chance)

As far as unique class AA's they are on test now, so berserker's are not finished, therefore you can't really say what their role is yet. It looks like they will be DPS and small utility to group's with their warcry,instantsnare/stun/jolt(agro reducer!) on raids may come in handy as well but other than that the line up for DPS is looking like Wizard>Rogue>Berserker>Monk. The look of the AA strongly support burst DPS, I personally think that defines a Berserker well atleast being implemented into EQ with balancing towards other classes. This Axe once in the hands of a properly AA'd/geared Berserker would be an agro magnet, let it be passive DPS or burst DPS.

zerker = massive DPS with a crappy aggro reducer.

monks = good DPS with a good aggro reducer.

btw zerks have tripple attack,flurry 3,rampage when you get AAs.so they most deffinatly out damage a monk.

and i rather the zerker stay on top of the DPS because with the crap aggro reducer they have,they deserve to have higher DPS.and monk should be chain-pulling anyway.=P

Seriously, just get over it. EQ is now divided into tiers, and if you're grinding through PoP and hoping to go to Time someday, you're going to look at stuff from post-Time zones and blow a fuse.

But look at the best weapons from original EQ and compare them to the best weapons from Velios... same thing.

Now compare the best weapons from Velios to Time... the same will be true for the high-end GoD weapons that we haven't even seen yet. Every two expansions the world will change.

That's just the way this game is.

alright dude this is by fare the BEST weapon in eq look at the delay freakin 40 look at the dmg 84 and look at the stats +300 hp and then the attributes +30 str, des, and sta then u got the SV's + 25 for each one this is the best weapon i have ever seen in eq
